REASER1
Hello guys I heard that some people consider laser guns as noob weapons but are they really noob?

I think no, because they are only good in a very small range but i agree that if u are in that range with lvl 5 FF u turn on GodMode.

Just think about it: Soldier with BS can blast the gunner out of the ideal range and mandos can run close where the gun is uneffective. (the secondary mode is only good when the enemy is STRAIGHT in front of you)
So i'd love to know what do u guys think of this weapon? Smile

Sorry for bad english.

The weapons do have some ups and downs, so they're balanced.

It's OP, you can't get a Gunner to long range, unless you're a mando with elixir. And you can't beat them in mid, obviously. And at short they switch to cheeser. It's OP, but not noob.

The only people that think the laser MG is NOT op or noob, are the noobs that use it.

The weapon is actually mediocre/bad at closerange (0-5 meters). It's optimal damage range is 5-11 meters or so. You go OUT of that zone, you have a solid change to kill the gunner. This is like complaining the SR MG does too much damage when YOU are too close to the gunner. Learn the damage ranges of the weapons, it's quite easy. SR MG = keep range. Laser = either go superclose, or far away.

The problem with the laser is not it's damage, because then the SR MG also does too much. It's the burst-frenzy heals that are too big.
Easy fix = higher dmg per bullet, lower firerate = same DPS, less heals.

It gives you a considerably lower amount of damage on lr as well as vsr. only hits with 1 and 2. thats not op dude. Its supereffective on its sweet spot, but around it its as helpful as a toothbrush.
And yes, im playin it, but im gettin the same KD when i play the SR MG. i like the combo eraser-lr mg more tho since the lr mg is more versatile and balances out the bad ranges of the laser

Most of the time, as a soldier, you'd have take caution when moving forward. You use your SS and GS to prepare for incoming enemies. You have BB for a little spike in damage, LRPs which pretty much scopeless Fast Rifles and BS when things get too hairy. The gunner's job is to find a way to rush past those defenses and eat you alive. If you rush their rush while they rush your rush, you get rushed and ultimately die.

^Point is that the Moon MG, like the LR MG, is a weapon to be used while rushing INTO the enemy. The thing that makes the Moon MG balanced is the fact that it's damage is piss poor at both close and long ranges therefore giving the soldier PLENTY of time to react to a rushing gunner with the Moon MG.

Only problem that may arise for the soldier is when the gunner is a good flanker or has the DF.

You all seem to be forgetting that you can have 2 weapons so when somebody moves to close to you [-5 meters] you can swap to an SR shotgun or an SR MG[or use the alt fire I geuss] and when somebody moves to far from you [+11 meters] you can swap to an LR MG which is actually really good at that range [about 100 DPS.]
Ooooor if you have FF you can just keep firing untill you hit 150 HP or run out of ammo and then switch to your other weapon.
