Gear up, Heroes, ‘cause it’s time! The old Gods have risen once again and this time it’s gonna get pretty ugly. Why, you will probably ask. Well, that’s not strange, for they challenge you in this brand new tournament! So phone your high school friends or reincarnate your dead clan, because we, Royal Old Dutch, present to you awesomeness in the square!
So, do you think you can beat all those bloody pirates, those filthy rabbits or those pesky Desperados? Then grab your guns, take your grenades, choose the right set of abilities and prepare yourselves for one hell of a fight!
Fight your way through multiple matches, blast your enemies to the moon and further and eat all the explosives they dare to throw at you and maybe you’re one of those lucky, insane teams who will make it to the finals to call themselves: The Solitude Six!

What kind of tournament?

It doesn’t matter if you are a clan or just a group of friends who want to participate, both are welcome in this tournament. This tournament will be played 6vs6 with a group stage, where the two best teams of each group can qualify for the knock outs. European and American teams are allowed to sign up. We will start the tournament mid august 2012!

How can i sign up?

Gather your team first! Minimum 7! (6 players + 1 replacement). All Players must have at least one level 30 gunner or soldier.
Then choose a team-captain and co-captain who are responsible to schedule the matches in the tournament and also to communicate with the organizer.
Then create a BFH-Group called: “[TS]Teamname” with all the players of the team listed before 10 august 2012. The group description must list all players names and both captains xfire, furthermore the teamspeak-adress (or mumble etc.) the team will use. The maximum amount of players for a team is 9. Be aware that you will have to play national and royal faction during the tournament.
As soon as the BFH-Group is created the captain is allowed to sign up the team by sending a PM (title: “[TS]Teamname” content: group link) to the organizer.

Rules

Teams

The official tournament setup provides that teams play 6vs6. Normal lineup 3 soldiers and 3 gunners. Any kind of deviation is allowed if you want to play with 6 soldier you can do that, no commando’s. In case one team is not able to gather 6 players for a match, their opponents have the right to play a 6vs5 if they want to. The minimum allowed size to play is 5vs5.
Minimum group size is 7 players because one replacement is needed. Maximum is 9 players each group inclusive alt accounts. If a player plays on two accounts, it has to be listed in the group description which player is using 2 accounts.
A clan can be officially represented by only one team. If other players of the same clan want to participate they have to sign up with another team name.
Each player must have at least one level 30 gunner or soldier (exceptions can be made).
Every team needs an official captain and co-captain, who will be in charge to schedule the matches etc.
Players are not allowed to play for two different teams.
The team needs to be able to play royal and national faction in the tournament.
Players whose account has PB/GGC bans, undeniable PB screenshot proof/log or video evidence of cheating are not allowed to participate.
The team-captain must create a group with the name “[TS]Teamname”. The group description must list all players names and both captains xfire, furthermore the teamspeak-adress (or mumble etc.) the team will use.

Weapons & Widgets

The tournament will be played without uber/super/BC2/MOH weapons only the non uber/super weapons are allowed. Pilfered or stolen weapons are allowed.
In the tournament entirely excluded weapons/combos/outfits are: Dual longrange shotgun, assault shotgun, pirate pistol, grenade launcher, drakes/dragons bazooka, M16-203 battle rifle and the AK74-30 battle rifle, Vehicle mayhem weapons, Space weapons, Cowboy weapons, Robot weapons, headless outfit and all the other weapons what will be released.
Only allowed widgets are: bandages, fireproof underpants, stamina boost and wrenches.

Maps & Scoring

Match winner is determined by round wins. In case of a draw in rounds, tickets will determine the winner.
In case a round ends 0-0 in tickets, the team that sees the victory screen will win the round.
In the group stage: rounds of 50 tickets, no faction change

Teams get 2 points for a win and 0 points for a loss.
Group winner is the team with the most points. In case of a group tie between 2 teams, the already played match between these two teams will determine their place within the group (by rounds win).
In the playoffs: rounds of 50 tickets

- 2x VV
- 1X CC
In case the result is 3-3, tickets will determine the match winner.

General rules

No bug abusing or cheat.
Suicide is not allowed.
Staying in the punishment zone is allowed.
Every player has to make immediately a screenshot when asked by the other team or the official observer.
American teams have to play on European servers, if two american teams play against each other then they are allowed to play on an American server.
Account sharing within the team is allowed, but you are obligated to inform the other team before the match who is playing on which account.
The team captain or co-captain is obliged to take a screenshot of each round result. This is very important since the tickets are determining the winner in some cases.
As soon as a match is scheduled the team captain or co-captain has to inform the organizer (through a PM) about the match-time and server (name, bookmark and password) match will be played on.
Every match can be observed and/or live-streamed by one of the official observers/live-streamers. Teams have no right to decline this. Non-official observers/live-streamers are not allowed.
Just in case the observer/live-streamer gets killed more then one time per round there will be a compensation.
Teams must be on time on the server, the match has to start at the planned time. Just in case a player has technical problems to join the server, the match might be delayed for 15 minutes. A team who’s players are not ready 15min after the planned time has to play with the players who are ready. Even if such a team would be outnumbered. Exceptions can be made.
Teams have 5min to get ready again after each round and 10min in between the map change.
Pausing is just allowed if a player loses his connection during the match. A connection is lost when the player dropped from the server. The team who’s player dropped can call a pause by writing “pause” in the in-game chat. The opponent team is obliged to pause max. 10min in each pause.
Players are not allowed to change their positions when the match is paused.
Every team can just pause 2 times in 2 rounds, but 4 times maximum. If a teams maximum limit of pauses is reached the opponent team is not obliged to pause anymore.
Players might drop due to the round restart in the beginning. The drop has to be announced immediately in the in-game chat. The round should be restarted as soon as the player is back on the server.
Flag capping is not allowed during a pause. If players are in the capping zone they have to leave the zone and the flag has to be recapped or neutralized, depending on the last state before the pause.
Replacing a player is allowed after each round or in a called pause in case a player dropped and/or can’t join.
In case both teams can’t agree for a match-time, they will have to play by a default match-time. The default match-time will be announced in front of every match-week. In case both teams don’t show up at the default match-time, the organizers will decide about a proper punishment.
If there are any other problems with a match, like breaking the rules, the council will decide about a proper punishment.

Q and A

Why is there a level 30 restriction?
We want to provide a tournament for experienced BFH players. One level 30 hero per account isn't hard to reach for a player who is playing this game seriously. Exceptions can be made.

Why are uber/super/BC2/MOH weapons not allowed?
We believe that this will increase the difficulty and intensity of the gameplay and subsequently improve the overall level of the matches.

What if i don't have a server or a teamspeak server for the match?
If you are not able to find a match server or you have problems with your teamspeak contact the organizer and we will help you out with this problem.

Knock-outs

How does it work?
After the first round of matches, the tournament is divided into two separate brackets - a winner's bracket and a loser's bracket. Teams that lose in the first round are sent to the loser's bracket, while those that win remain in the winner's bracket.
Teams in the loser's bracket cannot win the tournament anymore, but they are still able to get 3d place and win a great prize.

Matches

Before the match
The Team Captains/Co-Captains are in charge to schedule the matches which have to be played within the matchweek.
As soon as the match is scheduled both Team-Captains must send a pm to the organizer with following informations:

- Teamname vs. teamname
- Matchdate and time in [CET]
- Server name, bookmark and ofcourse the password
- Agreements (Add here infos in case both teams agreed to play another squad size, switched factions or 50-50 for a match vs a NA team etc.)

Matches which can't be scheduled due to disagreements in between the teams must be played on the default match time. The default match time is always announced with the matchweek announcement.

During the match
- Follow the rules.
- Every match will have an observer. If the observer is not on time in the server inform one of the organizers
- Both teams must take screenshots of each round result (especially the ticket result is important)

After the match
- Send the screenshots with the ticket-result to the organizer.
