Hey guys,
do i see something wrong or is bfh now for everyone ?
it looks like you dont need a security login any longer and everyone can join the fight.

so even though there is no announcement:

its on !

People keep saying "open beta" but those words don't appear anywhere on the website except in forum posts by players. The game has been released.

It hasn't, There is yet much to be added/fixed.

You may be right...

But the answer isn't the interesting part, the interesting part is WHY hasn't EA nor DICE said ANYTHING regarding it at all.

The word "released" appears in the exact same places...

And the fact that the pre-ordered servers (that were to go live when the game did) are still on pre-order is evidence against your conclusion.

This is either open beta, or a soft opening, the game isn't officially released until the official announcement that it has been.

The release version would have the full amount of items in the store and perhaps the metagame..

When ever I click play now, it checks the installation and then doesn't do anything. I rally wanna play the game! It looks so fun! I already have an account too.

Its out now, you're standing in the middle of it. Plus it will never be sold in stores. Thats the whole point of coming to the site and downloading it. It makes it quick and simple to get started and playing right away.
