I'm sorry for you, to ask that in this circumstances, but OK, let me explain - well maybe because this is the biggest topic in the whole forum, and it has only been a week - 99% of post in this topic are written by people dissatisfied with the changes ! Maybe because probably at least 80% of players are dissatisfied with the changes you've made - if you disagree than make a pole asking people if they like last changes. And last, but not least - maybe because EA/DICE did say that YOU WILL NEVER IMPLEMENT SUCH A CHANGE !!!

And one more thing - I've got a solution for you - why just not fire hmm, say - 80% of the people working on this project ???

Maybe it's because I've worked in various media for (far too many) years, or just because I'm an old man. Either way, I cannot be the only person here (mods, devs, and community included) who does not see at least some attempt by all parties to find a middle ground here. I'm not a fan of the changes to widget prices, but I'm also tired of reading countless threads of bitching with no constructive ideas. Goodman tried to create one thread for us to post constructive ideas and it quickly turned into a crap fest. Maybe that will be #17 on the reward card, the ability to fling poo.

OTOH, not to be a male appendage, but...Goodman, you know you have to type and edit your responses at least three times before posting to a retched hive of scum and villainy like this! and even then I would just delete it.

You have a point. The thing about BFH is that, for the price of several clothes and guns, I could just as easily buy a packaged, complete game like CoD (Always liked that series), or Team Fortress 2. Battlefield Heroes is, for all intents and purposes, a beta that you have to pay for, which is just a ridiculous idea.

Because the biggest asset of this game and the only reasonable buisness concept for it, I could possibly imagine it to work with, is its huge player base.

That provides full servers and a game whenever your customers want to play, no matter whether its 5 o clock in the morning or 5 o clock in the evening. How many games are out there which are good, but you are running into difficulties finding somebody to play with, when you have sometimes odd working scedules?

Games 24/7 is something you could only achieve with either a great service to the customer - which EA quiet frankly doesnt provide yet, or being for free and decent.

If that is going to pay the bills?

Lets do some maths on grossly estimates numbers (I gonna take the worst case scenario-):

3 million players registered now. That surely amounts to some 1 million clicks on the homepage per day. This is something. Thus with advertisement you could make some 10.000 $ DAILY (If you do less, you are definetly doing something wrong. But you are propably getting much more). Which sums up to some 3.560.000$ a year.
Now with 3 million players, lets say 10 % buy clothes for say 20 $ in a year. Thats some 6 million $.
Lets take away the taxes, and stuff, say 50%, you end up with over 4.5 million $. MINIMUM.

Ok, granted, for a company that isnt too much. On the other hand that ought to pay some wages if you ask me.
In a company that runs a deficit of over 400 million dollars (wonder how on earth they did that) this is only a drop on a hot stone. But as long as it pays the bills I ld be carefull to change that. And I I would be especially thankfull to a branch that nets me ANYTHING, if I would run 400 million deficit, having a closer look on where that decit is coming from. (Having gambled a bit on the wall street casino, havnt we?)

Now DISK risks loosing a market. Because even some players stay, willing to pay the prices you ask for this product, question is whether there will be enough, or if those are going to leave too, because they find no populated servers. The way you executed and communicated these last changes wont help there neither.

In all honesty: I was planning on spending some 10 to 20 € a year for this game. But not a cent more.
Not because I dont have the money. Because its not worth more. Big playerbase included. 16 players maximum on a server, 5 maps only, simple grafics, simple anything... There isnt simply enough to justify a higher price for me.

If you expected more... well, I am afraid this is not going to work with the product at hand... But I wish you good luck anyway.

Man,i get off this game for 5 months and got back now, WTF IS THIS MESS? I mean,i used to eat,sleep,drink and breathe this game,and i done that for a reason : Fun.I had lots and lots of fun,because of the friendly community,the in game times AND because this was one FUN game that does not stab us with fees and crap like most of games nowadays.Everygame has the montly fees the extra payin for the better weapons and BFH didnt has these. There was the outfits for battlefunds and that was perfectly ok,because it didnt changed the gameplay at all,only your stylish look and then come the unlimited weapn for bf it was ok too because ppl who dont had money to pay for bf could perfectly make some savings in vp and buy it for 1 month,or 1 week whatever for prices that was fine. Today i opened the game and went to store to buy my sniper (after all my older one ended because i quit for 5 months) and duck,i saw it selling for 1 day,3 days only for a ***** RIPOFF.
I was thinking on get some BF when i was playin to support the developers because they were nice on not being like other games but now you really showd ur ugly face behind the mask.
Seriously , now skill dont metter your MONEY matters . Any rookie can pwn you because he bought BF and got the nicest weapon unlimited and u keep using that regular one that u get when u create the character.

I hope you will see that this aint fun for everyone and I hope you'll change it back somethime.
Beta was great and before the last few updates I would recommend this to a lot of friends but now not any more.

I am definitely not a QQ-er or rager, but wtf is this? 400vp for ONE day? maybe for a month, so yeah, the prices could have gone up a bit... (this is about a... 6000% raise!) but to make it Pay to Play (well)? Also the wrenches and bandages are way too expensive, there too a double of the cost MIGHT have been all right.
