I get the basic idea, but EA, IT WON'T WORK!!!

Think of it this way. When do you buy stuff? When you've played the game and like it. What happens when you come as a noob to play? You get slaughtered until you buy things for money! Is it fun to get slaughtered because all the others have bought weapons? NO!!! Then, will they buy BF? NO!! They will go and never return, because they think it's a pointless game.

When I saw the menu where you buy the uber weapons I just laughed. "I want in! Well, come on then! Click here to buy!". To me that seems obviously meaning that you are not able to play the game without buying weapons.

BFH was a good game, but if I would have paid for it, I would have wanted to pay for additions, not just to be able to play. Though now, I'm NOT going to pay anything. I'd rather buy some other game where you get everything included for what you can buy two playable characters here.

I would have no problem to pay for weapons, but in the moment not even for that, cause this game is a CHEATERPARADISE!

tell me about it, i'm still in highschool and need to save money for college fund. my dad only earned about 1000 bucks a month, my mom only 400 bucks(that's what you get when you're working in a third-world state company). how could i manage to buy BF??!!

'F' that noise. I'm playing until the stuff (weapons) I had already purchased with VP runs out on my main character and then I will find some other mindless way to waste my time. I guess they have a few more days to come up with some changes in their system or their revenue from me looking at those stupid ads goes down to $0.00.

On the other hand, you can quickly tell who the morons are when you are in game. Look for people using tons or bandages and wrenches. It's kind of nice being able cut more lone-wolf gunners and commandos to pieces and always having a second crack at them with lower health if they get you.

MAYBE they could consider putting the Weapon VP prices back they way they were and raising the price of the Widgets. The game is about blasting away. If you want to get more life, pay more for it

No. The widgets should go back to how they were, or something reasonable- and a bandage wont save you in a fight, its an out of combat item, so that point is moot.

I think the thing that gets me (first time poster by the way) is the sustainable business model excuse. Seriously? Maybe you guys should have thought about that when you first designed the game?

To make a statement like that after releasing the game for free to the public, getting them hooked, and then taking it all away, completely implausible. EA, are you a drug dealer?

A) EA thought hard how to solve the problem, and reads everything that is written here.
B) EA ashamed to admit it made a mistake.
C) Other ....

I think the game is still perfectly playable without BF up untill level 10. That is with the leveling function working properly. To me it seems you can check this game and all the extras out for free with VP. Then if you really like it, you can keep on playing but you will need to invest some money.

I don't see any problems with this concept at all. Do you people really think EA/DICE can develop and keep a game like this running and brake even when nobody is paying the bills? Are you people kidding me?

However, I do think the VP prices are rediculously high right now. Also the costs of BF should be reduced with about 50%. And about the new better weapons, we should be able to upgrade the weapons we are using right now to the new superweapons. This upgrade should only cost us the difference in BF between the 2 weapons. If you want to buy one now, you have to pay the full amount and your old weapon wich you payed for becomes useless. This to me sounds like a rip-off.

So, while I'm not totally satisfied, I have faith EA/DICE will correct these things eventually.

It's completely fine to make some changes, even to raise the price of VP to make gameplay slightly more "fair". But the way it is now is ridiculous. These problems were foreseeable. They aren't going to change though, because they still have enough players (who will become payers), based off of the previous business model. Business model was probably always from the start, build up large base on the premise of free game, change the premise slightly (large amount of people go away, still have enough to have "sustainable business model" post changes).

That's the way companies work.

i'm a cheap ass guy who who would never spend real money on bfh, and only spent money on the cheapest bandages/wrench. i was still saving VP like it was real money lol

as soon as i saw the prices go up, i dropped ALL pay items (VP) from my inventory and started learning to play with only the free items.

it's balancing out nobody else has the VP items either now, so my skill still shows in K-D ratio and score at the end of rounds.

When you think about it, the ones that got the most screwed by this Ludicrous update aren't really the free player, even though they can't enjoy their game anymore but more the one that bought Battlefunds in the past ... You knows, those crazy guys that liked their game so much they decided to spend real money in it, even though they were perfectly capable of playing it for free, just to wear a silly hat or go around in their hundies ! They didn't paid because they needed to ! They didn't paid to get the upperhand on other players ! They've just done it because they thought that game was so good, it deserved it. Paying someone for something he do for free is guite something, believe me...
And what happens now ? well for starters, everything they bought back then with BF is a lot cheaper , and that means they could have saved money by just waiting and that's not really fair... And what about the rest or their equipment ? they most probably weren't entirely geared with BF items ! But now, to be able to play the game like they used to (but let's face it, it totally changed now that free players can't keep up anymore ...), they have to spend MORE money. Even though they already spent a lot to get clothing for all their heroes, now they also have to pay to equip them ! And it's harder for them to just leave the game, because they don't want to have spent their monney for nothing !
Yeah, that's how you thank them ... your true best fans ... By asking for more monney ...

Seriously, what the hell is wrong with you ? didn't you even think about your players ? I thought we liked you !! I thought You liked us ! Why are you doing that to us ?!
