I think they are missing something.... why would you spend cash on a weapon that you know will be out of date or unwanted when they release the next great uber weapon? what are we supposed to have a mystuff full of junk we dont want or use? now that the new shotgun is out I don't care about my old one. so what it just sits there doing nothing forever or untill EA makes a blunder that truly kills the game?

Same here. I was going to buy a cap for my soldier to support the game and it's makers. But now I dont have the urge to give my money to a grabbing hand.

sorry guys afyter playing for months, spending the little money i have extra on the end of the month on BF, the time has come to say goodbye ....

Hmmm there are some other realy cool games to play online with my friends (Cod MW 2, left 4 dead 2 etc..)...hey wait there's 1 very big difference i pay once about 40-45 euro and i'mm ready instead of paying every month for every thing i need...

I understand this have to bring profit, I deal with it every day. But this change is wrong on soo many levels.

The first one - it's way to sudden. Cutting widgets levels 1-4, and increasing lvl 5 price at once. Changing prices of weapons, that a simple gun cost 67 times more VP. Bad decisions.

You simply can't make the changes like that. You want to make money, fine. I would spend money, but if the policy was different.

Here's some ideas to make it work, and sill get more income, and happy, though only slightly annoyed players (no outrage guarantee):

Widgets:
- first stage - cut the 1-4lvl widgets, without change in VP pricing.
- second stage - for the same price, cut the number from 25 to 10, and leave it at that. People can afford them without VP-bankruptcy, but it will be easier to just buy for BFs.

Weapons:
- first stage - delete the possibility of one month VP purchase
- second stage - change the 7 day purchase, to 3 day; leave the price of 7day. This way, the weapons will cost more VP per day, but will be still affordable. People will buy those for BFs, because it will be more convenient, to pay out front for longer period with real money, than buy them for VPs every 3 days.

I would go for those changes, would pay. No outrage, more money, same number of players and people would be still discussing how the Commando is outclassed by the Gunner.

What you want is people wanting to pay. People are generally lazy and WILL pay for convenience, but if you force them to it, they will turn on you and wont pay at all. That's like basics of economics.
