FAIL, just a very big FAIL, that's my opinion.
Only lvl 5 bandages and wrenches now? Sry, but that's just crap, if you meet enemy soldiers with burning bullets in-game, you have to use many bandages. I don't have enough VP to buy enough bandages now, and I WON'T pay Battlefunds for them.
And of course I don't have enough VP to buy the uber shotgun.
This new update is just a very very big fail, maybe except the new clothes...

Ok here the thing devs: you wanted to get more money from your game. Guess what? You achieved it becuase only paying people will stay with this ridiculous HIGH VP prices for weapons.

You unlocked new achievement:
100/100 Make really cool game, tell people that they will not gain advantage with buying not so good for real money and then forget about it and screw this game to the top.

Just my 2 cents.

I feel sorry for the creative people at Dice who made the game so much fun:programmers, designers, artists. They worked hard to make a good looking, fun game and then some marketing a-hole decides that they should force people to spend battlefunds, effectively nuking the game. The actual game is still amazing but the metagame of buying guns and widgets has been completely broken.

So, 450 VP a day, no advantage in buying it for 3 days. 450 VP at a maximum of 7 VP a game, that's 50 games a day. About 4 hours worth of playing. Now, when you lose a round you can only get 5 VP, making the amount of rounds you need to play each day to keep ONE weapon about 60, which is about 5 hours playtime, every day, for one Uber/Super weapon.

Yeah, Battlefunds offer no ingame advantage at all.

I very rarely post but I need to chime in on this one.

I'm a regular purchaser of BF's, typically buying twice a month or so. It was fine when spending money felt optional, I was perfectly happy supporting this game. I don't want to have an advantage over others by using BF's, and I don't want to feel like I HAVE to keep spending to keep up. And only supreme widgets with unreasonable VP cost? Just nonsense. Unless this gets changed to a more reasonable pricing scheme I've spent my last dollar on this game. I'll play until my VP and BF dry up, and then I'll ditch the game altogether.

At least they screwed up a couple clothing prices. Take a careful look through to pick up a couple permanents for next to no VP.

C'mon, 3 days for 450 VP? You can't even buy them for a month or a week anymore, that's just big crap. The same with the VP emotes. 105 VP for 3 days? That's a joke, isn't it?
DICE/EA, but that's the first time that I really have to say: very very very big FAIL.

I allready spend 100€ on this game, and I won't pay any BF for weapons or bandages.

bah, this forces ppl to pay. they could have left 1-3 widgets (deleting tier4) for the old VP cost, same with standard weapons.

This way ppl wulould have bought uber weaps/clothes (even old VP ones)/tier 5 widgets with BF more often than not, and the difference between BF and non BF player would be as little as possible, while devs get more money which is their aim obviously.

This totally sux! I haven't played bfh for 3-4 weeks, waiting for gunner-update to be undone, but this update makes it all far worse. I've seen a lot of closed beta's complaining in this topic, which is definitelly a bad thing, as DICE had even upset some of the most dedicated players by doing this.

Another free online game dies because of 'sneaky' greedyness! I'll come back in a year or so to see if everything's still going the same way.

Yes, but those are the ones nobody uses. They don't use them for a good reason, they are crap.

Do the devs realise how badly theyve just slit their own throats? after a month of this ridiculous pricing, given that VP only people bought weapons before the update, this game is going to be a deserted not so good shell of a once awesome game. Why? because after the people that only use VP items have left, who are the 25% of people using BF going to be able to kill? not me thats for sure.
