why do you need to uninstall it then install it again

i installed it and it gets halfway through downloading and it says failed to download patch file, i click ok and it closes the installer. im using windows 7, if that helps.

i dont know whats going on here if you get to the point where you can pick a hero, the game is obviously installed

If the game will not start for you, download microsoft net framework 3.5.
this worked for me when all else failed.

the thing wants to to install an addon,so i click "allow" let it download,then i click "restart" for it to work,does it work? NO,whats up? the updater doesn't open,wtf is going on?

(i would recomend checking the little box that says not to ask this question anymore.) from there, the game will start itself and you will be able to choose your hero that you want to play as, and upgrade your abilitys, clothing, etc. in the tabs at the top of the ingame window.
please note in order to get certain weapons and clothes you will need:valor points, or battlefunds. valor points are in game tokens earned by simply playing the game, while battlefunds are earned by purchasing them on the bFH homepage.)

in order to actually join a game in progress, click the play now button in the game window and the matchmaker will throw you into a game suited for your skill level.
note that some servers in which you go to play are rented by other players, they can kick you or ban you for almost any reason they want.

in order to save a server as a bookmark, when you are in a game, press TAB(by default) and press F5 at the same time. now when ever you want to play on this server again, go to the game window, and where there are the tabs for freinds, options, etc. click options, and right under the tab, there will be options such as connect to server, settings, controlls, etc. click connect to a server. then click on the server name and below it, there will be a black arrow going to the right. click this to join. there is also a red "x" to delete your bookmarked server. you cannot join servers in which you have been banned.

also be informed that you must have the approprate, up to date, software installed, which isnt really all that high tech. most computers will already have the right software installed, however, this could still be the problem
