At least it's better than the alternative.

The only possible reason I could think of using TNT as a gunner is to complete the TNT mission for the VP, but even then that is a weak reason.

When I use a tank the only people I truly fear are gunners with bazookas. A gunner that uses TNT is like a deer wearing a neon bullseye during hunting season.

I will refer you to a topic I wrote to help the newer gunners with this handicap known as TNT. Please read it, take notes, watch the videos, etc.

I too am curious as why a gunner would want TNT ???

I mean the other classes have their reasons. Commando, no other choice, soldier, if they can plant and blast strike the tank for good measure.

I like the part where you mention about aim.
Quote:3. they really dont have much aim

They have an arc, that's all, I can still hit non-moving targets, maybe you just can't aim too well to start off with :/

RL is an awesome anti-commando weapon
far and close range, long range it can do 36 damage on direct hit, and an aiming commando is easy to hit lol.

close range shoot the floor as he tries to knife you
(this splits you two apart, gunners like to be close, but only lovers should get close enough to stab you in the back)
then drop your keg, activate leg it and pull out your gun, he's got no escape.

TNT, what is it really good for?
It's good when a soldier places TNT on a tank and you shoot it (with the RL) for extra damage and the kill
and that's about it.
maybe good if you are running away from an enemy, makes them go around it, wasting their time, but when do gunners retreat? NEVER! We slaughter!!!

RL is so much more useful for so many things, even making your keg go off, when can you throw TNT to make you keg go off at 30m+?

1. they take longer to load than tanks
2. they tend to not take much damage to tank but to cars
3. they really dont have much aim

what do you guys think?

1. it doesn't matter when you do 49-59 (even more on a critical) to a tank per shot, and you only take 20 for the most part.
2. wat?
3. that sounds like a personal problem.

Dude is trolling for sure. No way any player that has used gunner would say "f*ck the RL, give me some TNT"

I mean without the RL, forget about kegs, forget the advantage of actually being a gunner in a vehicle map, forget rocket jumping up to commandos, and mainly, forget about being good.

There was a bug in the beta that made you use tnt and rockets at the same time, it was the only time i used it, but i hardly used tnt anyway.

Tell you what Irish, I'll get in a jeep, and you can plant your little red sticks on it while I roadkill you.

Any normal gunner would blow up the jeep with a rocket, or at least slow it considerably.

A Gunner without a bazooka is like a broken pencil. Pointless.

Gunners don't work with TNT. They have bazookas for a reason. Use them.
