CM > BS > BB > GS
CM will save you and your team constantly, nuff said. Every Soldier should have 1 SS (and never more), nuff said. Beyond that the only other skill of the above that has defensive use is BS and thus it should be the next highest priority when trying to stay alive, deal damage, get experience, and win. The faster the CD is off and the larger the blast strength, the better. So 5/5 ASAP. Having 1 in BB even early in your levels is always good, it's free damage without a weapon swap even if they bandaid the fire and it marks commandos well. More in BB is a late game thing when you have the important things (5cm 5bs 1ss) set up. GS gains very little damage and lots of grenades as it gets higher level. Given that, why would you want many points in it? You are just increasing the likelihood that a person will only get hit by part of the blast for overall less damage than if you had a smaller tighter spread at lower level. Additionally, GS requires a weapon swap animation. For this reason alone I would consider not getting it at all. Unless it happens to line up with a reload (or you are dropping it around a corner with SS) you are probably losing as much damage as you are gaining in animation time. On top of that, dodging or eating grenades in general is not difficult. All-in-all GS = not that great. 1.5 stars at best. |

Thanks for your message ZenLOSER, I really liked your point of view on GS, that is true, totally true and I didn't really think about the animation time / dealing damage comparison with others skills.

Excellent guide, first thing I did was max CM too. Nice to see someone else with similar ideas about the class. It was fun playing with you at the Zombie vs. Skeleton event.

You forgot to mention that you can counter grenade spam by using blasting strike,other than that, good guide especialy that I already use most of these tacticks!!!

Great guide. Dual SMG combo works best for me.
PS I think that BB should have 4 stars. 60% of the time people wont heal, or heal very late. Gunners think that BB can do nothing to them. Commandos don't have the time to heal. And when a soldier heals, you just reignite him. It is good to stop a commando from sniping. Fortress Frenzy map Vote for FF here. My Epic Quotes Thread |
