What are Ranks and how do they work?

We thought it would be interesting to see who the veterans on the Battlefield are and who's new. That way it'd be easier for us to know who to hide behind when the fight gets dangerous.

With that in mind we came to the conclusion it would be a good to find a way to rank you all. Initially we thought about ranking you by size, shape and smell. However after some investigation it turned out the best way to do this would be using actual words.

Once your hero has progressed beyond level 10 - by decimating your enemy you start gathering Rank points, which in turn will impress the top-brass and move you onward toward your next rank.

As you get promoted from rank to rank, a title will appear below your name for all to see. As this can be somewhat hard to see while fighting for your life, we also added it to your hero's profile page.

Ranks are earned by damaging your enemy, there are no special requirements for ranks.
Each rank is earned after you have dealt 16,000 points of damage to your enemies.

The first rank you will receive is the rank of "Private", you will work your way through the ranks until you reach the rank of "General" but it doesn't stop there, once you have caused another 16,000 points of damage you get the rank of "Private II" and you will work through that stage until "General II", this continues until you get to "General C"

Here is a list of the available ranks.

• Rank 1 - Private
• Rank 2 - Specialist
• Rank 3 - Corporal
• Rank 4 - Sergeant
• Rank 5 - Lieutenant
• Rank 6 - Captain
• Rank 7 - Major
• Rank 8 - LT.Colonel
• Rank 9 - Colonel
• Rank 10 - Brigadier General
• Rank 11 - Major General
• Rank 12 - LT.General
• Rank 13 - General

I'm afraid so. General IV looks nice, but things like XLXXIV do look rather odd.
However, this can be used to your advantage: once the enemy is busy deciphering your mind-boggling rank, kill them! This way, veteran players get the respect they deserve!

Boring US of A ranks."Specialist" is meaningless in UK.Why not have silly titles like Cannon Fodder, Guardsman,Captain of Horse,Master Blaster,Prince of Darkness,Angel of Death,powder monkey,Viscount, etc etc

Of course, you could also start progressing still as General D, E, passed Z up to B, then start with C again but add 'II' ! And when you get to General C C, start all over!

It is based on DAMAGE, how wold xp boost help increase your damage output?

It was more fun with the Pensky private and mighty major general things, now it is slightly boring.

Why not have it based on ELO or just K/D W/L ratios? Now it only reflects who plays most, seeing this is a casualish game, you don't want to promote hardcore all-night gaming right?
