My connection (3) error/solution

Symptoms
Join a server and within a few mins connection problem message and back to game menu with error (3).
Also issues joining servers, sometimes will connect and disconnect seconds later.
Errors logging/updating accout.

Solution
I am using a router with DD-WRT firmware.
Go to administration TAB
Management section
At the bottom you will see:
IP Filter Settings (adjust these for P2P)
Maximum ports: 4096
TCP Timeout: 3600
UDP Timeout: 3600

These are the values I used and my problem went away, not sure why but it was set to 512:30:30

Other routers may have similar options or if you wish to use an open source firmware go to http://www.dd-wrt.com/dd-wrtv3/dd-wrt/about.html for more info. (not all routers supported)
