I know the back and underside of a tank is more vulnerable but does anyone know if other places deal more damage.

Nat Tank - right up under the barrel
Royal Tank - right on top

Course both of em get MAJOR damage if they roll over a TNT bundle

Is there a difference in damage between shooting a tank in the treads vs the side armor?

Tracks and back of tank. Those are weakest points.

I've not noticed a difference in where you hit a tank.
I'm forever hitting National tanks in the arse and it still taking 4 hits to kill the thing.

If you want to do damage to a tank hit it from a long distance.
I've gotten 100+ critical hits (and usually get 80+) from long distance shots.

Always go for the treads and back of the tank. Compared to the rest of the tank's armor, they're very weak. You can do 75 damage with a shell and 140+ with tnt there.

My signature died back in 2009. Undecided

I have always based it on the old BF2 damage spots on a tank which would be Rear, Underside, Tracks, and the space between the barrel and the main body of the tank for the best damage spots.

Most everything else has been nicked/copied from the previous BF games so why not this?

yeah, the best approach it's to take BF2 and BF2142 for those kind of damage spots...

No...

You throw a Molotov at it and Run away.

But seriously... The Tank is in 4 parts. The Chassis, The Two Tracks, and the Gun. You want the TNT in a spot where its going to hit all areas in one blast. If you do more then 99 Damage you have Succeeded.

Putting it on the top of the Tank is not a good one, but putting it directly center on the side of the Tank or Back Part will deal lots of damage.

I wouldn't stress to hard on placement, Just Grip it and Whip it

Drive around in a tank and watch were they stick TNT. One the front it hardly scratches you. On the back you'll lose almost all your heath.

If the TNT is on the Front, you actually take less damage if you drive backwards because when it blows up you've slightly distanced yourself from the blast. The Opposite is also true if you drive forward you receive more damage.

If the TNT is on your Back, Driving Forward will cut the damage down.

In Theory, but I'm pretty damn sure Tongue

Does all sticky TNT have the same strength?
I wonder, because at times it hardly hurts my tank while other TNT will take 75% health.

Gosh... I didn't know different parts were more vunerable.
Can we get a developer to confirm this and let us know the "map" of the vehicles?
