THESE ARE ALL UP TO DATE....
If you get the grey and white screen,or sometimes black. Theres a 97% chance your card does not support pixelshader 2.0. This is the list of known cards that dont support 2.0. Which is needed. So if you get one of these, is your card on the list? And if you dont know what your graphics card is.. Do this.... Windows XP 1. Click on the Start button on your Windows Taskbar 2. Click on Run 3. Type 'dxdiag' in the text field 4. Click OK Windows Vista or Windows 7 1. Right-click on the Menu bar and select Properties 2. Click on the Start Menu tab 3. Click on the Customize button 4. In the upper window, scroll down until you see the Run command and click on the corresponding checkbox 5. Click OK 6. Go to Start (Windows button on the Windows Taskbar) 7. Click Run 8. Type 'dxdiag' in the text field and click OK Saving your DxDiag report * You shoud now see a DirectX Diagnostic Tool window appear * At the bottom of the window, click on Save All Information * You will now be prompted to save your file. Save it somewhere on your computer where it is easy for you to access like your desktop, this is the file you will need to attach to your post. -------------------------------------------------- !!!!!!!!!!THESE ARE THE CARDS AND OR CHIPSETS THAT DONT WORK!!!!!!!!!! Yeah, I did that in the first place and I still get it. I found some thread about it which suggested downloading 2 dll files and copying them into the game directory. I did that and surprisingly the game works... but HORRIBLY slow, it's unplayable. Is there any other solution to this problem?

GeForce 6100 has pixes shader 2 so this list is not good
he probaly dont have the driver instaled at all or using some dell driver in fact anything nvidia 5 (and above) series should work, my dell laptop has one and it odes not work with the dell drivers , you need to get hacked drivers from the net note: although i see the nvidia 6100 was already removed for that list |

If only graphics cards were the only problem, just yesterday i bought an ATI 2400HD PRO (mainly for this game, but it was a much needed upgrade) and after much difficulty digging up working drivers i finally had it working!
Now that my graphics are awesome for the first time ever! I'm getting every connection error imaginable... 1000, 1001, 1002, 1003, 1009... -.- I know this is off topic, but just beware that graphics cards aren't the only remedy to a fully functioning BFH. (And if anyone knows a fix for these problems that'd be rad... and yes i do know their is hundreds of UNANSWERED forums complaining about these errors =P) And thanks for the helpful thread, it helped me find out why my Radeon 9200 wasn't running BFH =D Cheers! |

Anywhom, try updating/installing .NET Framework 3.5 and 2.0, as well as C++ redistributable. You probably have updated DirectX along with the drivers, but you can try that as well if you haven't already. |

Pixelshader 2.0 is quite a basic thing on todays graphics cards... it has been around since 2001, so it is quite a normal compromise between graphics and compatibility.
