Basicly, i've had the same problem with the screenfreezes (5 sec~ every 10-15 mins) and god knows how many plains i've crashed cuz of those.
Anyway, today i got fed up with it. And after spending hours on different forums trying to figure out how to get rid of those lagfreezes or atleast dim'em abit, i tripped over this: ______________________________________ delete the complete pb-folder, create a new pb-folder, copy pbsetup.exe in the pb-folder and start update. Create now in the pb-folder a file with the names "pbcl.cfg" and copy the following text in this file. (or download it) QUELLTEXT pb_sleep 500 pb_security 0 _______________________________________ After doing so, i tried to log into the game but got an errormessage about a missing file (pbsv.exe), luckily i had the entire pb folder zipped and brought that exact file back into my pbfolder. which means; When u do delete ur PB folder, make sure to make a backup file / save the file (pbsv.exe) and shove it back into the folder once the steps listed above is done. I really really really hope this will help alot of you guys out (if not all of you), worked wonders for me atleast... Best Regards, Jiimbo |

I already found the pb_sleep option ans that seemed to improve things quite a lot. I still had freezes every now and then, but they were less and shorter. I have been playing and I was only disconnected once... So let's see if pb_security is will improve things even more.
Thanks for the tip Go Royals! |

delete the complete pb-folder, create a new pb-folder, copy pbsetup.exe in the pb-folder and start update.
Create now in the pb-folder a file with the names "pbcl.cfg" and copy the following text in this file. (or download it) Your instructions are not quite in order. This is what I did and it seemed to have made a big difference. EDIT: Here is the file: Click To Download this .zip fle Created .CFG file. Pasted text into file. Saved file on Desktop. Uninstalled PB. Went to everbalance.com, installed new PB Placed .CFG file into PB folder in c:/programfiles/eagames/battefieldheroes/ Ran PB updater. Launched game. No intro lag to map. No real lag to report. No kicks, etc ... Need to play more, but seemingly fixed. Thanks fo that

This wont fix the PB (22) kick, this fix allows u to actually be able to play for more than 5 mins without the lag freezes. I've reinstalled the game, done everything from scratch now, andi havent been kicked yet, did i find a lucky penny? hope so :3 |

How do you "uninstall PB"? Just delete the folder? There seems to be several PB folders. So which one do I delete?:
pb pb_amd-64 pb_ia-32 Thanks! I really hope this will help! |

i dont think its because of the .cfg file,
but rather the new installation of punkbuster that solved it! the settings in the config do the following: PB_Security [0=no, 1=yes] When set to 0, PunkBuster will accept all "update" files without verifying that they are authentic; the default is 1 which should not normally be changed except for LAN environments where there is no Internet Access and/or you fully trust the Servers you are connecting to PB_Sleep [Period] Holds the period of time (milliseconds) that PunkBuster "sleeps" between processing cycles; the default is 60; lower numbers will cause PunkBuster to process events more times each second which also has the effect of increasing the bandwidth used by PunkBuster; Players with a modem connection will probably want to set this as high as possible i just reinstalled punkbuster without this config.... no lags ...no pb kicks works for me ![]() |
