Tale of the skies. First Chapter

"Oh her? Yes, i remember her. We will take a long time, it happend many years ago. Did you know that there are three kinds of aces? Those who seek strength, Those who fight for pride and those who can interpret the development of a battle.
Those are the three, and she? She was a true ace..."

He was a fighter pilot called, "the raven", Surely he received that title by his maneuvering.

10 years ago, There was a war that shook the world... The Euret war. And in that war involved a pilot who crossed the skies, and disappeared from history.
She was a lone mercenary who inspired fear and admiration. She is the woman i seek.

And in this way, with the common name Raven, the curtain raises.

"It was a cold and snowy day..."

Chapter one - Battle in the skies of silver

"Its starting to come down" - said Red-Star, talking about the snow falling from a full white sky
-This is base command, guess boys you all manage to get up; Raditz 1, Raditz 2, maintain current course.
"This is Raditz 2, roger that"
"Bering 315, Gergams bombers aprroaching" -Said the base command
"No one likes to bail out into a mountain of ice, we're counting on you flight leader" -Said red-star again
"All units, prepare to intercept"
"You better have our pay ready and waiting" -awnser Red-Star.
"That's only if we both make it through this alive"
"Be ready to pay up. We'll be back before you know it"
The flight leader waited some seconds to say again the orders for that day:
"Raditz team, shoot down all enemy bombers. Dont let them get to our base, and Raditz 2, follow all the orders from Raditz 1, free engagement is prohibided during this operation"
That put me as the leader of the team, thing that not liked to Red, she was a warrior, always ready to launch into the action...
She replied resignedly:
"Roger. Awaiting your orders Raven, you'r raditz 1 now..."
I said- "Just fly and shoot em all down..."
We was flying in formation to a squadron of enemy bombers, which were going to bomb our airbase.
RedStar spoke to the radio: "Raven, i've heard stories about you. That pride's gonna get you killed you know?"
I laught in that moment, but my smile frozen when i saw the first two bombers and his scolt plane...
-"Spitfires"

Chapter Two - Battle over the Raven's nest

"That day we only toke 30 minutes to complete the operation..."

"Raven, you got one in the tail, hang out!!" -Screamed RS (RedStar)
"My hands were shaking on the joystick, but I could not fail, neglect and one Spitfire would destroy me."
-"Raditz team, here Flight Leader; there are only 2 bombers left, but this mustangs are clogging us, take them out for us"
"Flight-Lead, we got much work here!" -Awnser RS
"This was the only chance of survive to our airbase, if we had fallen, nothing would have prevented all Gergam invade Amber..."

"With some fast moves, RS shooted down some of the spitfires, and others ones was damaged, and scaped to them base..."
"I'd like to see how those gergams cowards report back to their superiors..." -Said another pilot.
-"We still got work to do" - I said"
RS and me eliminated the bombers with the help of our team-mates; only two of the ours where fallen into those white and deadly mountais.
"Raven, i got a feeling you and me are gonna get along just fine... Buddy" -Said the voice of RS

Mision Acomplished.

A Note to readers - The origin of the gergam war.

The gergam war is shrouded in mistery. But now, a decade after the peace accords, a portion of the records was finally released. I quickly get a hold of it. I wanted more details, i acquired information from unkwown sources.
There was a reason for my obsession:
The roots of the war lie in the German federal law review that took place in 1938.
Gergam, suffering from economic strife, permitted its eastern territory to secede.
And the republic of Amber, was born.
But Gergam's economic troubles, did not subside.
Meanwhile, taking adventage of the situation, the world superpower Greklia continued to flourish.
Admist the economic panic, an extreme right-wing party took power within Gergam, aiming to restore strenght and stability to the nation. and on march 25th 1940, with the discovery of natural resources in Amber, Gergam begin to invade its neighbours.
It was the beginning , of the Gergam war.
Unprepared, each country fell quickly before the might of the legendary Gergam Air Force.
In just a few days, they occupied all territories except for the mountain range. In response, the occupied Amber government military, placed all their hopes in a joint operation between Greklia and the foreign mercenary forces.

This of course can be found in any history book.
But, i noticed a strange similarity in the material i gathered.
There where several accounts about a mercenary all followed by the codeword "Evil".
But most of the information was inconplete, still, i was intrigued.
I decided to pursue the history of the Gergam War through this mercenary.
I was certain i would found something there.
Would it be the hiden truth behind the war? Or just another battlefield legend?
I wasn't able to meet the mercenary himself, actually, it's questionable if she ever did exist.
But thanks to some old friends in the military, i was able to track down several individuals who know him.
Raven, is such one man.

No problem! I like giving all stories a chance because this section of the forum is losing its amazing authors! But I bet we can pull out a few at least every once in a while.
