”WISH YOU WERE HERE” Postcard Contest! Coastal Clash!

ENTRIES
HELLO HEROES! Your entries will be a postcard promoting Coastal Clash! Make a postcard that promotes the seaside town in anyway you like, something a tourist might find in a shop and send with a ‘Wish you were here” message. There are samples in the following post. To see other postcards, check out Google or this site; http://www.postcardbooth.com/contact.html


REWLS
Entries MUST include imagery from the Coastal Clash Map.
Entries (canvas) MUST NOT exceed 650 pixels in WIDTH x 450 pixels in HEIGHT.
You can utilize that space anyway you see fit, borders (if you use them) MUST be inside the pixel limit.)
Your file format can be .GIF, .JPG or .PNG
Entries MUST be 72 DPI.
ONE entry per hero, post in this thread and you can make changes up to the end of the contest period. Please post any new changes into a NEW POST so I don't make an error and post an older version, come time of judging.


REQUIRED ELEMENTS
Imagery from Coastal Clash Map - Anything goes in your postcard. You can make it rustic, vintage, contemporary, humorous, serious, anything at all. You can highlight any aspect of the town, element or play.


ENDING
Will be on JUNE 19th @ 12:00 -7 GMT (12:00 pm Pacific).


VOTING
Will start JUNE 19th @ 17:00 -7 GMT (5:00 pm Pacific).
Will be till JUNE 22nd @ 12:00 -7 GMT (12:00 pm Pacific).
-Next Contest will start JUNE 22nd @ 12:00 -7 GMT (12:00 pm Pacific).


JUDGING
Heroes will be able to use a POLL in a newly created thread.


PRIZES
FIRST PLACE (with the most votes)
- The Hero will receive TWO sets of redeemable codes for special clothing items. These will be one ‘Open Royal Jacket’ for Royals, and one ‘Formal Red Jacket’ for Nationals. Each redemption code will last six months, and must be used before December 31st 2009.
- Honorable mention on the BFH Homepage
- Listing in the Hall of Fame (More details to follow)

SECOND PLACE

- All listed times are subject to change should a system crash, major update or unplanned system maintenance occurs. Should there be a major interruption, the contest will continue when the system returns and all lost time will be extended.
- Honorable mention on BFH Website may, or may not include presentation of your graphic/production.

Here's a couple WIP's. This is my concept so far. It's still early enough for me to change my overall design without wasting too much time. Anyway, crits, comments, and suggestions are welcome. This contest is going to be epic, good luck everyone!

Imagery is a liberal term ...
You can draw it, paint it, sketch it, take screen shots, whatever, as long as it's Coastal Clash, it's a postcard and fits into the size requirements. I know you like to draw your own stuff, so I took that into consideration when deciding the requirements.

Don't mean to bother you VonCyblos but, in the "Rewls" you state one entry per "Hero". Did you mean "Hero", or "Account"? If an account has 2-4 heroes, it would make the contest more interesting but I am not sure that is what you meant.

FYI: The phrase "Wish you were here" is the title of the contest, it's not a requirement for the postcard. But, I like that you put it in there

One entry per person.
You can put in ONE entry, but can edit it, revamp it, change it as many times as you like, up to the end of the contest. If you put in an entry tomorrow, then the next day you have a new idea, place the newer entry into a new posting. I'll be grabbing images as they get put up, and pre-making the voting post as the contest progresses.
