What is a melon?
A melon is savoury fruit that is used in many culinary desert dishes or lounge foods, many people prefer melons in a fruit salad or with ice cream. To Enjoy the savoury tastes of a melon, you must first cut threw the hard outer shell to reveal the inards of the melon, this is were you begin your melon feast, think of it as eating the insides of a humans head, it must be funy to be a cannibal!

The History of the melon
Melons originate from Africa and southwest Asia but became vastly popular in Europe by the end of the Roman Empire.Early American settlers are recorded as growing honeydew and casaba melons as early as the 1600s.A number of Native American tribes in New Mexico, including Acoma, Cochiti, Isleta, Navajo, Santo Domingo and San Felipe, maintain a tradition of growing their own characteristic melon cultivars, derived from melons originally introduced by the Spanish.Today the melon is enjoyed by many people all over the world and is the right choice when it comes to the worlds best fruit.
