What makes this class fun?

I use soldier as my main class because you need skill to do it well. Sometimes I hit all AK-74 shots and still get killed by the super cheeser. Also Soldier has fun abilities
Also they nerfed Soldier a lot and that makes it a fun challange just like you said Alpha Dog

I personally like having the one class that can actually move around efficiently and still hold up great in firefights.

I just love using an SMG and stuff. Its a gun soldiers actually use.

MG's are ok, but just seem weird.

Snipers are fun. (Now everyone gives it a bad rep with the fast sniping. Trust me. It was a lot more worse when they could kill jeeps.)

Knifing is nice. It gets hard though.

Pistols are... eh. I used to have good aim with them. Now I kinda fail.

Shotguns are really great!
I spent most of my default days using it as my greatest weapon.


Also, its a lot more about playing smart.
The reason they nerf the soldier SO much is because we are a deadly force once you start playing smart.

I feel like the AK47 and M16 kind of ruined the tactic's part of the playing.

I use the M16 though because so many people use it I can't stay defenseless.

Once the pushing away from the ability is gone.
This class would be never used again.

Versatility. People love to believe that soldiers are UP to boost their e-peen when they get kills, but they're not. Soldiers can control a battle if they cycle through their skills properly and stay sharp. I've started to grow tired of my soldier though and switched to ramboing on my gunner for a while 'till I get bored of the easy kills and hop back onto my soldier .

Probably 6th sense, legit wallhack makes rippin' people apart with LR pistol and grenades whole lot easier

What annoys me as a soldier is their slow speed. Gunners with legit and rocket jump as well as commandos with elixier and tt jumping can move very fast around the map while the soldier needs ages to get to the battle after spawning. Even teamplay is impossible when your CM goes into the void because the gunner/mando ran away.
With a little more speed, the soldier would be more fun.
And with tonics and bandages CM is not so important, without widgets the soldier would be very good.
The most fun as a soldier you will have in a good team with gunners sharing legit and shield, stick to you to receive healing and let you drive jeeps and Tanks.

mostly on BB since you cant go to the other side of the map unseen

the soldier is, in my eyes the most allround class there is, and unlike most people say you dont even need the BS to be usefull
when playing along with another soldier or gunner your near unstoppable. Its just the teamwork that makes it so much fun. But ofcourse like wuuster said if you cant find a decent team its pretty hard to get started

When I'm not in the mood of playing "tryhardish", I usally switch to soldier, cuz it's easy to get high amounts of points without having to worry about anything.
Means camping, ya know.
