Im starting to get freaking annoyed now. i keep getting kicked, i try uninstalling the game but it says "not enough arguments" ive updated ive manually installed PB. but the same message comes up, its really pissing me off. sorry for the language but its a huge problem i can barely play anymore. and besides there werent any hackers anyway. SORT IT OUT. or please someone help! im desperate. with the summer holidays coming up soon i have nothing better to do!!!

BUT , i really prefer kick myself a guy on my rented server than use that useless program !!!

It is strange, as I noticed, when I play at day, everything is quite good, when in the evening, PB starts kicking around like crazy. ****** on this crap...

I have played BFH for about 4 or so months and it has worked fine for the most part. until today for some crazy reason i started recieving the punkbuster has kicked you(22) error message. the second i join a server BAM! i get kicked out because of that error. why the heck is this happening. i use mozzila so uninstalling ie isnt gona help. please help

I turned off my G15 applications and still got punkfagged in 6 seconds of gameplay. Frustrating.
So far nothing provided has worked. I'm done trying things now until I see some official statement i guess.

Some background:
PB has always given me problems in EVERY game where it's has been used. In BF2 console command pb_sleep 500 command has helped me...

7 Steps that might save your day:

I have managed to play five full rounds without a kick after I added this new cfg-file. There is still lag spikes but still I havent been kicked out.

ok how do you write in the file i dont understand step 3 at all

i tried the "NEW" step baaa posted and it didnt work for me, got kicked after about 1 min gameplay (as usual since the patch), and ofc im not using any cheats

i checked the punkbuster logs and only found one thing looking suspicious
"[06.18.2009 01:32:32] WARNING: CRITICAL ERROR: Failed to Register Service (ffa9)" the **** reads f f a 9

thats the only thing i found that had the word error in it and its repeated thruout the log
ive no idea what it means or does, but since ppl get kicked out from bfh without a valid reason i would blame the CRITICAL ERROR part

im running XP and using firefox for those that are intrested
hope this problem is fixed soon cause i would love to be able to play bfh once again

Shout-out to HemiHead, he fixed my PB (22) issue:

1. Go to your EA Games folder and manually delete all the PB folders
2. Use CCleaner to uninstall BFH (or control panel)
3. Restart your comp
4. Reinstall BFH
5. Start playing, now i've only been playing for an hour without any issues, and i didnt have to manually update PB at all, but if it screws up after step 4 try updating PB

Indeed, getting kicked as well (22). I had to stop playing both Battlefield 2 and Battlefield 2142 after having trouble with punkbuster so if BF3 (which hopefully comes) uses this I'm done with the series. I've tried every solution I could but no. F*** Punkbuster.

no offense intended, but please please please keep playing for a few hours more and come back and tell us your results. I've done this manually (not using CCleaner) and it worked great for an hour or so (a few maps at least) but then it started happening again and still does, so I'm curious if your fix will work, but not curious enough to waste my time AGAIN uninstalling/reinstalling. Thanks
