General information:

Anyway, at first this idea came from Iwag and Wmps wanted to execute it. But seeing as he got already like 10 ideas he wanted to do I asked him kindly if I could take this one because I felt drawn to it and had already came up with a few ideas.

The main question when I started this video was; What would happen if there were no enemies?
Well that's simple, they are dumb enough to kill each other. So I let them Wink

My biggest problem was finding out how I wanted to make the credits. I could spend another couple of hours on it and making it heavily edited. But knowing that a lot of people are interested how I did some of my effects / actions I felt like this was a nice way to do so. At the moment it shows you a new layer every second revealing how I made a certain effect / action.

The hardest part for me to edit was probably the first person sniper scene. I first search over the internet looking for a 2D scope or possible a 3D sniper but I couldn't find one I liked enough to use. So I made my own scope in Adobe PhotoShop CS5.5. Now I could also blur different parts of the scope easily so it would create some depth. Secondly I had two recorings, one from a far distance and one from a close distance. The far distance clip is used as background for the whole action and the close distance clip is the one that is revealing inside the scope itself so it would actually look like he's zooming in. At the end I used an orb effect on the close distance clip so it would actually look like a real scope and not a flat one and gave it a motion track so it would follow the animation of the sniper.

Interesting information:

-I use After Effects for video editing as well as video composing, lining up the clips etc.. Which I actually should use Premier Pro / Sony Vegas for.

-My After Effects project includes around 200 files and uses around 248 Layers, which I did NOT gave a particular name to so at a certain point I had no idea what everything was.

-The render time was 1Hr, 48Min.

-All the audio in every clip is manually added, there is no audio left from the actual recordings. It was a pain to sync all the gun sounds at 1:50. Some sounds had to be louder then others and I had to make them louder when the camera was coming close to them etc..

-There is a royal commando hiding behind the flabbergasted head you see at 2:20 who kills the National because at first I wanted to do something with the Royal having huge laggs thus connecting so late while the Nationals already have slaughtered each other, later on I scrapped the whole plan because it had literary noting to do with the 'What if there were no enemies' idea.

-I probably used over 500 layers (might be more) in Adobe PhotoShop CS5.5 to create all the effects.

-In the first panorama you don't see any jeeps parked, while in the second one where everyone is dead you notice a jeep parked behind the churches pillars. Stupid me..

-I had a lot of trouble with the music, I couldn't just put a simple song in the background because that would ruin the tention. Let me know if you have any tips for me.
