I think the main reason is that people get owned by gunners in 1v1 and they dont realize 1v1 isnt supposed to be balanced and therefore they assume gunners are OP and take no skill.

Well actually, a 1 vs 1 Gunner vs Soldier is quite balanced, everything depences on the gunners aim/(keg-)rocket use and the soldiers aim/use of BS.
The utility of BS depends on the direct surroundings (walls etc.) - but overall, the most skilled of both shall come out as the winner (most of the time)

The problem that you define is in a way correct that people that don't know how to challenge a gunner properly assume gunners are OP.

As for DaveDaDon: how comes I never saw you in a +lvl 15 server? Don't go ranting on Krusz if you can't handle it yourself.

Well, all classes are pretty easy from 1-10. Made even easier now that there are no level requirements for Super/Uber weapons, so mandos (1-10) got a huge buff.

Yeah I was playing on a low level gunner. This commando had an uber knife and kept on trying to kill me. He later raged that since he had an uber knife he should be able to kill me o.O

SR MG + 5FF is one of the easiest and most rewarding setups.
However, the people that think gunner requires no skill are either unskilled themselves, or have only played in low lvls. Soldier rocks in high-lvls.

Gunner is OP on vv and sinds vv is the most played map... . If you team up well tough. Every class in this game is easey, only dualkniving seems hard some times.

I think the main reason people get the gunner takes no skill theory (i used to think that) is because of VV.

You play on that map alot when you're a low level, just an observation I made.

In VV, gunner trains, SR MGs, rockets, kegs, and ff are all extremely annoying. What's worse is all of the close combat areas. If a gunner doesn't have 5 heal and some BS then he immediately dies. Commandos usually have low health which leads to instant death.

I think gunners are a bit OP, but they don't take no skill.

(Unless you throw a keg followed by you chasing me down with leg it from 200 yards raping me with your cheeser)

I find your point and indeed gunner's do seem a bit OP when looking at them, but the same can be said for Soldiers/Commandos (and indeed I'l not saying it doesn't take no skill - except for BS :3 )

Everytime i see this comments about "no skill" gunners is coming from newer players, who dont know how this game works.

Its the same thing about some guys crying about tanks, blasting strike or anything annoying on this game, I already see one guy blaming another guy about planes !

So If someone cry about gunner class, just smile and let him type while you shoot on this head.
