Sniper and LR Pistol strategy and abilities help

I use Stefan's Uber Sharpshooter and Gerhart's Uber Greatest and recently tried it out on some games yesterday morning.

To start, I had a tough time countering knifers and anyone that was charging me. Any help with that?

AND, I just need help with my abilities setup. I understand Stealth should be maxed out first for knifers but not sure if it applies to snipers. And after that, I don't know where to put the rest of my ability points.

edit: I have a rough idea of where to put my points but still need help fixing it up. This is what I thought up a few minutes ago for my abilities once I hit lvl 30:

4/5 Stealth
4/5 Elixir
1/5 Mark Target
5/5 Piercing Shot
2/5 Troop Trap

So if you can, rate this please or provide me with a better setup..

make elexier 1 versus knifers , and get ps , then make stealth high

Well, I'm not sure what your ability setup should be exactly, but some points in TTs would be very useful for your knifer problem. Obviously put some in PS and I'd say have at least 3 stealth, 4 being better, if you want to save ability points for other uses.

Elixir is the one of the best abilities for commando, if not the best. You should really max it out.

you should really use your kinife and your sinper for best results from the commando class. but max out stealth and put some points in exlir it is very usually to use for situations when u have to runaway to fight a other day and power shot seen you prefer sniping i would also maybe put mark target on because its a useful tool when sniping other commandos in stealth and you can easily pick them off.

Knifer problems: max out Elixir and shoot him with pistol as he's trying to catch up to you. But if he got the first hit in with knife and he's got a pistol for back up, then you're pretty much screwed.

I hope you got an other account becouse on this account you a lvl 1 and 2 commando...

But always max out stealth first. Than 1 point in elixer, than what you prefer. TT, PS or max 1 point in MT.

As a sniper you really don't need max Stealth, whereas you need it as a knifer.

I'd suggest this:

Would be better served in either stealth or elixer.

Ok ok, here's how I usually recommend the 30 slow rifle + VLr pistol build.


Stealth 3
Elixer 5
PS4
Mt3
TT1


I find that I play too aggresively to really make use of high level stealth... like I'll explain with...

Elixer 5 is a necessity on ALL commando builds for me personally. I tend to snipe until I'm noticed, then swap to my pistol and use elixer. Elixer5 lasts for 13 seconds... so on average I find I don't really need to use stealth until the... 17-18 second mark. Which means rank 5 stealth is usually a waste of points for me... rank 3 means I only need to wait 2-3 seconds for it to be available after elixer is used up.

PS4... Well, the reality is PS3 is enough for me. With PS3 and a fast finger you can take out a soldier in 2 bodyshots... but you have an extra point, and the difference in cooldown from 3-4 is significant.

MT3. Because MT is an awesome ability, and MT3 marks two targets instead of one.

TT1.. If you don't have the nade launcher, TT adds a lot of manueverability to a commando. If you DO have the launcher... it might help defend against knifers. (But you may have better results if you drop TT, and drop the 4th point in PS... put both into MT.)

The build I actually use those rare times I decide to snipe is...

Stealth 3
Elixer 5
PS3
MT5

...

Because I don't tend to rely on PS to get my kills. (What can I say, I am a big fan of the VLR pistol.... I almost always do headshot =>fast body shot => spam the pistol)

I mostly just use it if i'm fighting gunners...

So I personally prefer the points and safety of some fun MT5 spam. (I mostly only play commando to read the chat rage of spamming MT5.)

No. mabye you like those builds, but there are always better than that. For one, elixir should be maxed in ANY build.
