Far away, is a land called Electronic Arts. The two active parties (the Nationals and the Royals) once lived in peace and harmony with each other but when the time came and the wrong people were being put in the wrong positions so the leadership fell in the wrong hands, a war rose between the two parties. The gunners, commando's and soldiers fought valiantly to make sure their ideas and dreams would be realised so they would live in a "perfect" world. In many massive battles the armies slaught their opponents, but - strangly - the worthy armies "liked" it. It was a new way of showing what they could do and achieve, a new way of living. But as usual, times change. As in other countries, powers of evil affected both Nationals and Royals. Men tried to find ways to cheat and to lead their party to victory in a bad way. Those people are now called as "hackers". They find ways to automatically shoot opponents when possible and to kill innocent people who are trying to win in a good way. Everyone hates those hackers, and things are being started to stop those malicious hackers. But as it seems, the amount of hackers is still growing and since they're cheating and hacking, they're really hard to defeat. A time will come when everyone will be "forced" to hack if they want to be able to fight on. Things aren't getting better, bad times are ahead us.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Not a war story, but a thought something had to be done to get rid of those hackers. Playing the game isn't fun anymore when loads of people hack... It might not be much, but it's at least something. If everyone wrote something like this, E.A. might do some more things to get rid of hackers once and for all, and if not once and for all, at least lower the amount of people hacking. No-one likes hackers, but they're still there, so why not stop them? ![]() made by natslayer |

EA doesn't care. If you've noticed, all hackers are customers who pay for clothes. Why would they destroy their huge resource of money?

Exactly. I don't see why EA can't just ban their IP addresses. It's very out of hand. But like I said, EA doesn't care, as long as they're paying. It's like when a cop shakes down crooks. A little bribe will make him turn a blind eye.

It doesn't matter if you have Battlefunds or not - if you report someone by searching the player's name through player search according to this guide with a valid proof he will get punished. Since you easily create a new account you will never get a ride of cheaters

Holy crap! A mod! Run to the hills! By the way, eXtremous, can't you ban their modem? That's what I meant. And I didn't literally mean all. Derp. |

The Hacker Problem has been around since the Closed Beta days. Obviously it isnt going anywhere, and unfortunately thats just how its going to be. My theory is that EA thinks that punkbuster magically solves everything. And we all know what a Cracker-Jack job thats done.
But think of it as an organ transplant list. The Hacking Problem is like a problem affecting an organ in Battlefield Heroes. As the problem gets worse, it moves higher up on the list. The "list" in this case actually exists for the BFH team in some form. They have a lot of important issues to deal with. Makeing a profit, trying to balance player happiness, coming up with new content, ect. The Hacking Problem is like a metaphorical hand the keeps slapping them in the face everynow and again as it gets worse. And not to mention that the team went through many changes with Battlefield PlayforFree going up and the, er, other change they apperently went through recently. So, while the new team is working on new content and bringing back the wackyness that BFH was, im confident that the "slapping" of the hacking problem is going to eventually turn into a fist that punches them in the gut. So hopefully, they realize that A. Punkbuster works, but not enough, B. Content=Happiness but Hacking=No happiness, and finally C. Dont make the game shoot its self in the foot, like after DICE left. But cool story. (No, not bro because i actually meant it.) The Commando is not your free, protable Anti-Aircraft device. |

First of all... I think this could be a good war story...
Second, EA does try to stop this, but its all those pissed off players that send in videos that they think is "A Hacker" for an example, I have never hacked.. but a while ago i was called a hacker because I killed someone while they were shooting at me first... this guy had terrible aim to add so he only hit me once. he made a video of me "hacking" and sent it in. Now I have also seen many other players do that to good/great players even though they never have hacked.... so I guess they actualy look for proof that they hack, and not videos showing him/her getting killed by one guy It must be hard for EA to get all those videos of other players... Third.. yea I have been seeing a bit more legit hacking recently... even my father has met 2 hackers within two games.... but i have no controll over their desicions so for now... we wait till PB is updated so that EA can buy some time for less hacking and find a way to permanantly block them... cause they need to update those hacks at some point :3 |

Well, quite frankly, PC_GAH_BOBZ and DesertWolf have a point. Most people who well, suck, get killed and call that person a hacker. They could get a screenshot or video evidence, but how would EA know whether that person actually DOES hack? And in DesertWolf's case, people DO want new content, be it new maps(possibly a new game mode), clothing, weapons, vehicles, so on. They're focused on banning hackers, but they're also focused on keeping the people happy. The hacker problem just keeps popping up every now and then, until it would get out of hand(And it WILL. Too many hackers was the only reason why I quit Combat Arms). Now, I don't hack and I am STRONGLY against hackers and hacking in general(I mean, what's the point of playing a game when you're not even playing it right?). And yes, many hackers DO buy BF and BF stuff, but that won't make EA stop banning. Between all of their games, sponsors, and more people buying BF, they could care less if people who hack buy BF. Besides, EA has ENOUGH money from this game alone. Then again, EA is one greedy S.O.A.B. company. All I'm really trying to say is that EA does WANT to ban hackers, regardless of whether they pay, it's just that they also want to make the general population happy. They have too much on their metaphoric plate.
