[Weapons] Custom Weapon Names [50+ Signs]

Before anyone says 'ZOMG TF2 ripoff!11!!1oneoneone', I actually got the idea off Pokemon games, where you can rename your mainly unrealistic partners (although only ones that you caught), which everyone pretty much knows.

How will it work?

The renaming item will be sold in the store for a reasonable price, let's say 350 BF at the least and 700 at the most. When the item is bought, which will last forever, the player finds it in the widgets screen and then handpicks a weapon of his choice, let it be something like a default weapon or even a golden one.

The player then starts to name his weapon. He/she is given the choice of building the name using prefixes (before the name) and suffixes (after the name) of choice, or none at all.

Such fixes could include, but not limited to:

X = desired weapon name, HeroName = the player's hero name.

'The X of HeroName' - IE 'The Noobinator of Provi'

'HeroName's X' - IE 'TPangolin's Mantastic Mancannon'

'The HeroName X' - IE 'The b00sted Cleansing'

Of course, the player will have the option of having no fixes at all, but can have them to help out with naming unless they have one in mind. IE - 'The Hammerhead', 'Lol Hi Bob', etc

Other things

• A name removal widget should be sold for around 150-240 BF.
• All renamed guns will have colored (probably gold) names to indicate that they are renamed; this also stops people from deceiving others.
  

What about profanity?

Let the filter take care of that by punishing those who put cuss words in their gun name(s).

Who are the possible customers?

• Gun-savvy players who want their M16's renamed to M4's because it looks more like the latter.
• Popular forum users.
• Players with a lot of Battlefunds.
• People who take up less popular weaponry (possibly to get more attention for them).
• All sorts of people!
  

Other impractical things

The developers could possibly implement similar things for vehicle kill messages as well. For example, players could rename the Royal Jeep 'The Lulz-royce' or the National tank 'The Noobroller' whenever they kill someone else with those vehicles.

What's in it for EA and the development team?

Players who will buy BF regularly will typically rename a few their weapons. These will sell like hotcakes, and could give EA a good profit.

Yes I did and found plenty of similar threads. However, the majority of them are dead, and are not worth the necro.

it IS a good idea, BUT there would be a lot of fools who would give their guns names with bad language like "Hitler's Big C*ck", you understand?
well, that you understand me right i don't care about bad language but ea does.
so maybe they could also make a filter for this naming.

i really would see this ingame, with a few fixes of the idea though
