The Signature Guidelines

It seems that some people are (still) a little confiused by the rules (click title to read the full guidelines).
I see multiple sigs trying to explain (wrongly) the new rules. Or at least i suppose that it is their purpose to explain the rules.
Anway i dont care and i'll explain the size limitations in this post.
(And yes i know you can PM shade/u238 when doubting, etc.)

The rules state the following:

Quote:* Signature Size:

* Max size for the full signature can not exceed 250 pixels in height and/or 900 pixels in width. This includes images, text, quotes and links.
* Max combined file size for a signature is 500KB

A little representation of how big 250x900px :

When you read the rules you can see that this is the maximum size for everything together.
This means:
-A (signature) image.
-Buttons.
-Text and quotes.
In short: Everything has to be in the boundaries of 250x900 pixels and 500KB filesize.

Note:

yeah it was.

But it wasnt clear.
The previous rules stated
250x900 grafics and 2 lines of text.
or something like that.

And for Biggar, well anyone can make mistakes

Alot of people dont understand, to name a few:
Kids, people who cant read, Harry Potter, people who dont understand english very well, blind people, people who are slower than average, horses, pies, aliens, vampires and George Bush.

^Already sent this to a blue but I am curious to what the people think. Every time there is a line of text it takes away around 5pixels of blank space. Such as around the image and the red text that is actually on the signature I used as an example.

If you use my signature as an example QargZer is 180 pixels, my steam and xfire gif's are now 50pixels. Adding these together you get 230pixels. If you take a screenshot of my signature from the forums and measure from the line to right above the buttons (The spot where it goes from gray to white line) that are in every signature it measures 263pixels. Is my signature in violation because of the extra spacing that is automatic added or am I allowed to add 20more pixels where I would actually be near 300pixels of actual space but only using 250pixels of text and graphics, with roughly 20-30pixels of added spacing that I can not control.

i dont think it counts in the 250x900 margin. I think it counts from the first pixel (visible on invisible) you added to the last one.
but yeah you might have done well to PM them
