hey guys,
Just started my 2nd year at university and I'm getting bored of fried chicken (I had it like every night last year) sooo.. I decided to make this thread asking you all: 1. What is your Fav meat dish? 2. How can I make it? if u don't know how to make your fav dish just give me the name as i have access to google ![]() if successful I will post pictures of each meal suggested to me in this thread giving each meal a mark out of 10 or some other generic rating system resulting in you all feeling good for adding a random comment to this thread.if you don't like meat .... there is the door to General Chat ......... Yours, Lots of love, ~Drebin (This post was made in memory of forum regulars that are no longer with us) |

![]() I dont know the english word for it, but on norwegian: Nakkekoteletter. (Think it is Neck chops) Its best with fried potatoe (Pommesfrites) ![]() Ingredients: 4 pieces marinated pork neck chops 800 g fresh potato 100 g chorizosousage 2 tablespoons chopped fresh basil 1 bottle aïoli (245 g) What to do: 1. Wash and cut potatoes in half. Boil them for about 10-15 minutes until cooked through. 2. Cut Chorizosousage into strips. Mix aïoli, basil and choritzo well together. Fold in potatoes. 3. Grill chops for 3-4 minutes on each side. ![]() |

Cheap and cheerful:
Chop up onion OR 1/2 onion OR spring onions OR leek (whatever you ahve hanging around) - fry till soft Chuck in some mince - often on offer at supermarket - stir and fry till brown Add in whatever you have lurking in the fridge, any or all of:odd bit off pepper, mushrooms, bacon bits, sweet corn, chopped corgette (zucchini to our american brothers), chilli if you want it spicey. Cook till soft. If you have the odd drop of wine - that will go nicely too (you may prefer to drink it though) Throw in a tin of chopped tomatoes - stir well and heat through Salt and pepper to taste Goes nicely with pasta or rice, or garic bread, or chips, or on baked spuds, or mash etc, etc, etc. Make in bulk and shove it in ther freezer. Or if there is just a bit left, bung it in the fridge. You can warm it in the micro, or in a saucepan when you get back from the pub and have it to quench a fit of the "munchies"! Good way to use up odds and ends. Not expensive to buy the componant parts. |
