Are you a math wiz? Then you'll be great at this contest. This is from an old 9th grade math textbook. If you win this contest, you will receive one unique Dr. Pepper code. The code is (obviously) unused, and can be used to acquire many EA items. So, waiting for the question ehh? Well this is a bit tricky. Heres the problem:

Universal Set: {1, 3, 4, 5, 7, 9, 14, 17, 19, 24}
A: {1, 3, 9, 17}
B: {4, 7, 9, 19}
C: {9, 14, 19, 24}

What is the complement of the union of A and B?

First Poster of the correct answer wins. So get workin!

Next contest this weekend.

PS, sorry for not being on lately, I have obviously been elsewhere.

Cheers!

ok what kinda math is this??? i tought math is more like this:
You have the formula f(x)= 25 + 5cos(x -3)
how does this formula form from the standard y = cos(x) ?
or is that from a whole other kinda math

just guessin. but if u combine a + b then u got the following (i dont know this kinda math but its better to try then to stand by)
u have every number except for 5, 14 and 24.
so the union from A and B is {1, 3, 4, 7, 9, 17, 19}

KillGuy wins! What was done is the union (Both sets combined) was, as gorutski said, {1, 3, 4, 7, 9, 17, 19} and the complement (The numbers not in the set) was {5, 14, 24} Good job KillGuy!

not dumb. never had class in that kinda math =/
here is math that i have to make: (simplefied because i couldnt find a good Sine wave)
Here you see the graph from function f
[Image: sinusoide1.jpg]

a) make the formula from function f with a sine click here if u dont know what a sine is
b) make the formula from function f with a cosine
