Hello, This is Matrix; giving you another suggestion.
Seriously EA, why? The gunners, I'm obviously talking about the gunners. I'm a skilled soldier, I can beat alot of people in a fight, what I hate the most is some un-intelligent 8-year-old Gunner with a small amount of skill, being able to kill me. I'm not saying that they're not supposed to be the strongest class, I know they are. But they're TOO strong. It kind of sucks lately, because this game is ruined by the majority of unskilled and unintelligent gunners who just spam fire, never need to worry about anything other than to press the 'I Need a Medic' button, when they're every now and then low on health. I'm not saying they're invincible; I think a gunner is a little overpowered on his own. But when he mobs, thats where the problem is. Definition - Mob: A large group of players who all stay with each other. (For those who don't know). But look at a gunners abilities, level 25 - 30 gunners (Which were in the server I was talking about) all mobbing together are unstoppable. Lets make a list ![]() The list below is for a SINGLE, LONE Gunner.
Fast - They're supposed to be the slowest class in the game? Yet they have a speed ability, which is unlimited in mobs? Powerful at any Range- They're the strongest class in short-range (They don't have to aim), and are pretty decent at long range too, a good sniper can kill a gunner with a LRMG, but he'll have his health hacked at. Anti-Vehicle - They're pretty toughened out against Vehicles as well, they're bazooka can destroy tanks, their MG is effective against planes, taking my armour down by at least 60 - 80 if I miss a wingclip. And to top it all off, they're invincible to being roadkilled aswell, because they just shoot your jeep with their bazooka. Fear Factor - People fear gunners, even Pro-players would probably admit to having a larger amount of fear for a gunner than a soldier. Indestructable - I eat grenades? WHAT!? They can eat knives now too? This ability renders any explosive ability useless. Ultimate Hero - Think about it, what can a Soldier or Commando do that a gunner can't do? (Minus stealth). Frenzy fire, in some ways is better than Combat Medic, because you can kill and heal at the same time. Now imagine this, and multiply it all by 3 or more. How about EIGHT! This renders all comments of, "Oh, you just have to be smart with them." or "They're easy to kill, just you have to be patient." OBSOLETE. Gunners don't have to think to be able to kill me, they just point there gun and shoot. I'm not going to spend my time in a game running from Gunners, how can I be smart and tactical, when they've got leg-it, they'll find me and eat me up in a matter of seconds. Its almost as if; all the abilites were laid out in front of 3 people, then The Gunner got first pick of all the abilities, then the commando and Soldier were left to scavenge what they could out of the remains. They get the best cookies, and we get the out of date ones -.- No wonder they're so damn fat. Ok, long rage post over with, now to the suggestion. Its fair to say that a much higher percentage of Royals play gunner than Nationals. Yes? Because for every National Gunner I see, I probably see 3 - 4 Royal gunners. This is why its so unbalanced and unfair, if there were more National Gunners, there'd be more fairness, however, you can't force someone to play a class. So we need to give Gunners a weakness that we can actually play on? eh? Here are my suggested Nerfs: Leg-it: Increase its reload time by 3 seconds. DECREASE how long it lasts for by 3 seconds too, BUT... much like Combat Medicine, the more people that you give leg-it to, the longer it lasts, so if you give leg-it to someone else aswell, its duration lasts for 1 more second. (So a group of 4, would recieve the current leg-it features). Making a Gunner more Teamplay Bazooka: Ok, This is a 3rd weapon for a Gunner, it does alot more damage on infantry than TNT. What's up with that? I Say make the Bazooka do nearly no damage (8,9,10, maybe 12 on a direct hit), on infantry. Keep it doing it's job on vehicles. IEG: I'm not sure if this still stops knives, if it does. Then stop it. And make it so that theres another small delay (Half a second) before activation, so if you throw a grenade at a gunner then it might still go off. SRMG: Perhaps the most topical nerf needed, but yeah... Decrease the range. MASSIVELY. This over-powered beast should not be able to fire more than 15 or so metres, and should have a small damage nerf as-well. Anyone here ever tried to capture square flag in RR against a SRMG Gunner? Impossible. Therefore, we have made a gunner more team-based, dependent on his fellow Soldiers and on Mando's for long-range support. Thankyou. I hope you see that the Gunner I propose is not under-powered, but he's just gained a few larger weaknesses that others can actually play on, and with this Nerf; Battlefield Heroes can return to its Glorious days of teamwork and strategy. ![]() |

I think that when a gunner uses leg it when they shoot it stops so that would prevent a lot of gunner problems reply and tell me what you guys think

no more nerfing...
no.... gunners really arent always very good.... im more scared of soilders with there blasting strike and burning bullets gunners i like play agaisnt i get more xp try playing as gunner for a while see how they play and use that to fight them but you have to be ssmart to kill a gunner some times you have to make sure you can kill him b4 you attack him but for me i think the commando is the strongest player when used right but when going up agaisnt a gunner dont just go OH! gunner *bang bang... oh hes super cheeser and hes right next to me... oh this sucks ... *dead* ... you have to knowwhat your up against in order to pwn da big fat gunners ![]() |

IEG doesnt eat knives, it simply absorbs the SPLASH damage, so If you stab a gunner right in the back of the head, even if he has IEG on, you still do like 60+ damage!

The only think That needs to be nerfed is the SR MG and FF 5 and in which case the sr mg is next in line to be nerfed if i read HATES post well.
And yes they removed the IEG absorbs knifes damage even though it was there for a bit too long ![]() |

I can beat them, lol. I'm talking about Mobs. I can easily beat 2 soldiers, unless they're particularly good. I can't however beat 2 fairly good gunners.
I'm not taking this suggestion down. Don't think your making me 'afraid' with all this. I've looked at your characters. Gunners. Pffft. As for the K/DR comment, we were all noobs once. And I was a particularly fun noob, who liked to mess around alot. ![]() And to the guy who says I'm angry. Your inability to understand my emotion shows that you shouldn't really be trying to comment on it. I'm not ever going to be angry on a forum. Maybe if you punched me in real life, then I'd be angry. A commando can sneak up behind a gunner and knife him very quickly. A soldier can send him flying a large distance and then lay waste to him with LRSMG+BB. A soldier can set people on fire. A soldier can be a useful tool in defeating gunners, healing. Nerfing only causes more confusion. Make a small buff for the soldier. We should be good to go. |

I don't understand the logic behind gunners being able to heal themselves anyway.
