reinstall (in vista or 7 as admin: close all browser windows, right click on the browser icon > run as administrator)

Has nothing to do with any settings. You just force the game to write new temp files. Can't see what is so hard to understand here.

Your account data is stored online, you can loose some screenshots or settings, BUT you are asked if you want to keep the. I kept mine. I'm not speaking of the general system cache or the browser cache. I'm speaking about a folder created by this game and for this game.

shouldn't make a difference if your installation is clean. But I personally made the experience that no installation stays clean. I reinstall a clean windows image all 2 or 3 months... therefore I also reinstall bfh always again. Though I can't really answer this question.

After reïnstalling it I played it once, though the second time I tried I got a black screen again.
edit: Found the map cache, lets try again.
