*NOTE: These fixes are merely "workarounds" but called fixes considering the word is much shorter to type. None of us can guarantee that these will work for you, but we're kind enough to share with the community in hopes that what helped us to play the game will help you. Personally, I encourage everyone to check out these fixes and perhaps play around with them to come up with something new.

(07-08-2009 11:19 PM)aka_waldojr Wrote: I found another workaround! 1002 error, after clicking play now. Its either a firewall, a proxy, a teatimer, a switchbox or the modem itself. Some modem like Motorola actually have a firewall within their modems also. Go here to find out about your modem or/and your router/switchbox, and to know what to do to properly configure them for BFH. Since BFH is probably too recent for Portforward, use a similar game like BF2 and simply use the proper port. http://www.portforward.com To find out your External IP go here --> http://www.whatismyip.org To find out your DHCP or your internal IP do the following: Winxp: In start , select Execute and type CMD, in the DOS window type winipcfg and press enter. WinVista: Click on start and type in CMD in the search box, then type ipconfig in the DOS window. All that is left is to know what PORTS BFH is actually using for gameplay. You can renew your external IP also if you are running on a DHCP server. Try Changing IP if dynamic (START->RUN(DOS SHELL)->TYPE "cmd"->TYPE "ipconfig /renew") This is a bit far fetch, but still worth trying, most people are on dynamic (DHCP) with 3 to 5 IP that they can use. EA or punkbuster could have some problems with some IP from last bug. Would be strongly advised to remove manually all cookies and temp files from the web browser before changing IP. You can also check your modem speed here http://www.speedtest.net

"Silakka Wrote: Here's how I fixed my connection to the server was lost (3) problem.
I am using a DSL connection with a router. 2. Here's the last and most important part. I explain what I did to my router: I had my LAN cable in the "slot 1" in my router, so I changed that cable's place to last "slot" in my router, which was number 4. So in your router/modem, change your LAN cable in to some other slot." This is from the "Silakka's Connection 3 error fix" thread. When I read this for the first time I thought it's just stupid, that will never work, but I was desperate enough to try it ![]() I had error (3) and error (15) problems and I never got a connection. I still can't believe it, but this tip solved them and finally I can play. Thank you very much!

Hello...
My solution to the annoying punkbuster kick 22 problem was to clean the computer with ccleaner http://www.ccleaner.com/download (a freeware program) download it and run it. worked for me

This worked for me:
When you get to the character screen, go to your task manager (CTL+ALT+DLT) and go to processes. You'll see two Battlefield Heroes processes, 'BFHeores.exe' and 'BFHUpdater.exe'. Find 'BFHUpdater.exe' and end process it. After that, the only thing that could disconnect you is if the server is full, etc. but you shouldnt see 'You've been disconnected (15)' again. Hopes this helps! ------------------------------ I found out that Error 15 still appears but only after you exit the game for the first time. After that if you try to play, it rarely does and error 15 usually comes up. So I guess just try to keep playing without exiting for the first time or if you do just restart the whole game. |

@ lazyrouge:
Have a look here if your graphic card is supported: [System Requirements]Cards with Pixelshader 2.0© HouwndDog [Other]NON Supported graphics cards.© RaBidDoG try with disabled firewall and virus scanner in vista and 7: make sure you run your browser as admin: right click on browser icon >run as administrator For XP and Vista: make also sure you have .Net Framework 3.5 SP1 installed. Don't forget to reboot afterwards. Previous versions are known for stopping to work out of the blue. If you get an error while installing, uninstall the existing version first. If it still doesn't work post your dxdiag as attachment, as every computer is different... |
