My internet connection is fine, and I can start the game fine, but whenever I try to get on one of my characters it gives me the message "Error: Unable to connect. (1009)" and then closes Battlefield Heroes. I was playing Battlefield Heroes earlier today, so between now and then something's gone horribly wrong.

I tried to search but could not find ANY other topics with this problem (aside from the one I made in a different section, which nobody seems to know there).
I posted in this section because somebody told me too. Wink

This problem has been resolved, I had to re-enable wireless, then disable it again.
Don't know what lead me to doing that, but I did it, and it worked.

Thanks anyways! Smile

I've had the same problem, but whith error codes 1002 and 1007.
I posted it too, but no reaction yet.
And I don't get the enable thing you explained, Zektro.
Could you explain it a little bit further, please?
Thanks

Well, if you're on a wired network, then go into your network and sharing center (which you should find in your control panel), and then go to "Change adapter settings". Go over to the wireless network connection, right click, enable, then disable again.

If you're on a wireless connection, I suggest getting a wire. I used to get error 1002 messages all the time, but when I stopped using a wireless connection I haven't gotten an error since (until today).

If this doesn't fix your problem, then I'm sorry I don't know what to do. I have a feeling I just got lucky.

Try deleting the game's cache. Browse to the cache folder (look below) and delete all sub-folders within...

XP > C:\Documents and Settings\[Your User Name]\My Documents\Battlefield Heroes\mods\bfheroes\cache
Vista/Seven > C:\Users\[Your User Name]\Documents\Battlefield Heroes\mods\bfheroes\cache

I did every possible thing to resolve this problem by viewing the forum and I still have it. When I select a player the Error 1009 appears always. What seems to be the problem? Anyone know if its because the ISP?

I think the problem is in my ISP. Because sometimes I can enter in the game easly.
At this moment, I can play with no problems.
If I had some news I will report here.
