Of course this won't work when the kids buying BF aren't using their own money but rather when mommy and daddy are paying for their BF.

I bought Battle Funds when it was an option, now that it's almost mandatory to buy BF to sustain even 1 character I don't feel like spending anymore money on failed closed economy.

I sincerely doubt EA will listen to what the community has to say, be it through well-written letters or angry rants on the forum. they've shown over and over again in their running of countless different games that their only real concern is profit, and if not buying BF is the only way we can let them know they've done wrong, that's purely their own fault.

The sad thing was, I was considering buying BF for the first time this week. Then, I log in tonight and find out about this pitiful money grab, and all my interest in buying BF disappeared. And I'd venture to say that a lot of people feel the same way.

This is madness. All of us non-paying users are gonna get creamed by:

1. Rich kids that have nowhere else to dump their truckloads of money on,
2. All you characters that made this game/shut our mouths and were rewarded with infinite BF.

I couldn't hold this inner anger after I read pages 2-4. Especially on page three, Mr. Ben Cousins, you have done well on fooling us into signing up for this game and putting money into your pockets. I am utterly amazed at your cunningness, to the point of which even I was lured into your trap.

Four weeks. Four weeks will I give you, to correct your wronged doings, and return the magnificent game with great potential which all of us knew of. If by Christmas, I still see the so-called "Super" Weapons priced at 1560 Valor Points for a mere 3 days, do not seethe at what I shall do, for this is what you have asked for.

Four weeks is very generous. Other players have given simply one week.

I have ~150 VP. I rarely get more as i use it as fast as i earn it.
I have very little or no missions left on my main characters so no VP there.
I am lvl 30 on my main character so no VP for leveling up there.

Just because some people have a lot of VP that shouldn' t give you the right to make things alot harder for those of us who don't horde it.

My guess is that most people with lots of VP will be people that have VP boost ( cost BF) or those who are fairly low level after leveling up VP points. Or just soldiers who never buy heal widgets.

i cant read 17 pages of posts but i read some of them. So your mad that people can buy a shotgun with vp and/or BF? Shotguns are junk for one. you can use VP to get it too. Quit crying and let dice make some chingaling. They did not lie about the guns. You can get them easy with VP. Quit tank hording and blowing all your VP on wrenches. Any other weps the decide to bless us with will also be available for VP. No promise broken.

1. The uber shotgun costs 1350 VP for 3 days while it only costs about 560 BF for unlimited use.

2. No, you cannot get guns easy with VP. Now, to get a gun for 3 days, you have to pay the same price that you used to be able to pay for a month of use.

3. Bandages and wrenches are useful, and a vital part of many peoples playstyles. Now, not only are we forced to use bandages/wrenches that are more than we need, but they cost 120 VP for ten uses.

Dice, I have 1 single request/question of you.

How did YOU expect the community to react?

Did you think we'd all suddenly buy battlefunds? Did you think we'd jump for joy over a shotgun that costs more VP for 3 days than what 5 weapons for a month used to cost? Did you expect ANYBODY to be happy about this downdate? (It can't be called an "up"date).

Suddenly, EVERY weapon is an uber weapon - an uber expensive weapon. How to you expect to attract casual players to the game when they have to spend HOURS to try out 1 single weapon? That lasts for 1 day?

DICE, I have a challenge for you. Turn off your inifnite BF and VP, and tell me how long it takes for you to buy 2 weapons (like most ppl do, and gunners usually do 3) for 3 days. Now compare that amount of time to how long you got to play them.

That is all. I'm sure EA will never support your department again once a guarunteed 50% of players leave and never come back. Thanks to the new prices, there'll be a 90% increase of new players that don't continue playing the game too. A dying community. All because of this update.

Even if people don't spend money on Battlefunds, they enable EA/DICE to point at the user list and say:
'We have X-million players, who will see your advertisment when they log in, how much do you want to pay us?'

But because they thought they'd pursue a business model which only works in asia, they're going to lose godknows how many players.

I live off a blog I do and I can assure you that *very* few companies pay for ads per view. 99% of them pay per click, the smart ones even per transaction/convert. So just seeing the ads won't make EA rich.

As I said 95% people wont play...

And if they dont play, they wont see advertisements. So only 5% people play and use BF... then Battlefield Heroes is Dead...
