All are viable options. With all the builds, you'll generally be limited to short to medium ranges with different damage outputs.
With the SR MG + LR MG builds, you'll need FF. Thanks to the accuracy boost from FF and the decent accuracy (by MG standards) on the LR MG, you'll be able to tango with soldiers in MR, just don't expect to win if they can aim their LRPs ( IF they use them ). This setup it light on those who can't really aim that well so if you're new to playing a gunner ( and no, WASD + LMB doesn't count as skill/experience ), then you might wanna roll this build. With the SR MG + LR SG build, your main weapon will be the SR MG. The LR SG will be your spike weapon, using it to open fights after launching people into the air with the RPG. Your favourite skill ( besides leg it OFC ) will be your keg. Once you get the hang of this build, you'll find it to be the most efficient of 3 weapon setups as it delivers everything you'll need from your gunner. With the LR MG + SR SG build, your main weapon will the SR SG. You'll generally find your self having trouble with this build until you get a maxed leg it and keg since the SR SG only works at ALMOST knife range and the LR MG stops working after a certain range. You absolutely need immaculate RPG aim with this build since this weapon is what will keep your targets pre-occupied until you reach them. The perks to this build is the fact then when you get in close to your target, they'll die outright, regardless of loadout/class, since the SR SG outdpses all SR weapons ( besides knife, but I'm not sure about that ). Why though? The LR MG is still outdpsed by all SMGs, pistols, and snipers. I thought the SR SG was the main weapon because you have leg it, kegs, and RPGs in order to bridge the distance. Oh and what does CB mean ?

I like using an assault shotgun and a short range mg. This allows for great close-up battles, and the assault shotgun is an excellent opener. It might not have any critical hits, but the base damage (which is long range and every range shorter than that, mind you), is also great. It usually hits in the forties if you get the gun aimed right. Great opener right? Then just switch to your short range mg and leg it over to the enemy if they're far away.

And +1 thing : KEG in high Level, if u are using assault ...we dont wtn enemies near - and leg it

B/c the SRSG sucks at basically all ranges except knife-range. The LRMG is great at all ranges except for knife range. And no the LRMG actually out-DPS's all other guns at MR (one can only click the pistol so fast), and with 5 FF, it becomes a monster. |

This ^^ is the REAL way to play! buy some xp boost to get faster lvl and get these 2 weapons because its good and you dont need FF just a lot of bandages! and this is very good setup for cws to! because keg HS and legit (1 in IEG) is team based abilitys (why i think keg is team based is because in big groups you damge all so who ever you mates shoot you help em) |

I think the sr smg could give it a run for it's money too. dual lr shotgun as well, although that's technically not one gun but two...lol

Oh and i recommend sr mg + lr mg if you want a dependable, fairly easy build. lr shotgun is also great but a bit more challenging.

Also I'm not the only one who thinks this; a lot of very experienced gunners also agree. Do you know how fast a LRMG (5 FF helps) drops targets at MR? And frankly the laser SMG blows. I've used the LRMG for quite a while. The only thing that the SRMG has going for it against the LRMG is its faster RoF (which heals better with 5 FF and is a better weapon when using it with a weapon like the LRSG). Whenever I play LRMG/SRMG or LRMG/SRSG, I use the LRMG perhaps 80% of the time, at basically all ranges except short. The only laser gun that you should be talking about is the laser MG (which is OP to hell and back with 5 FF, and probably the closest thing you'll get to a legal no-spread). |
