WHA? what the hell is this guy talking about??! i have added some immages starting with "3D" you should watch them to get a global idea of what this will be about (use the well known 3d kinda glasses for this)

you might ever have had the feeling that you would like to play heroes in 3D, with 3D i mean truly 3D, the kind of 3D that makes you think you can touch it (don't try to hit your enemy, it will cost you a new monitor) and you know about nvidia 3D vision, but dont feel like paying for it, well therefore you have nvidia 3d discovery.

you will only need a good old pair of red-cyan glasses and the latest physx patch. wich can be found at www.nvidia.com mind that you can only do this when you have a 8800 geforce card or higher! you now will feel like installing the patch, but you might notice nothing happened, thats indeed true, you will need to start up the nvidia physx application. then click the enable button, and follow on-screen instructions, and instal the programme, NOTE: you will get a "hardware fail" most likely, because of a selection you need to make in the installation, just mix a little up and be notified that that it isn't you hardware most likely. after installation you can start heroes, and run it in 3D! in my expierience, bfheroes was the game that runned BEST in 3d of all i tried. the colours are good, and the depth is great, and even though it isn't the 3d vision itself, its a big improvement on immersion.

.jpg  installation.jpg (Size: 108.43 KB / Downloads: 862)

i hope this will give you a nice expierience on in-gameing, btw, any red-blue glasses will do (i couldn't find one so i used my sisters barbie glasses ROFL!!)

don't miss it, its awesome!

why:
1."feel" a game, wingclips aren't just annoying anymore, they are scary.
2. the game looks beautiful in 3D
3. it adds a new dimension to your gaming expierience
4. theres probably a lot more, but just try.

Did you need the lastest update from your videocard? Because if you didn't have that you can't see anything what just a bit of Stereoscopic 3D likes...
I have done a minute ago the new update and there is now Stereoscopic 3D...

Lol, wouldn't this make the game harder to play?

I'm trying to set up the Stereoscopic 3D but when I go through the setup wizard... I get to the last page where it has you verify that you can view stereoscopic images (the one with the floating square, after the page w/ the shapes) and it won't let me click next. Not sure how to activate the Next button so I can click it. Little help?

EDIT: Messed around with it a lot. I guess there is a second item down below that screen which I couldn't see since the setup forced a resolution change. Got it to work, somehow.

ebay has tonnes of glasses cheap.... just installing the most recent drivers to try now!

This is Vista Win7 only...

http://3dvision-blog.com/tag/red-blue-glasses/

Here is a quick setup guide:
1. Open “Nvidia Control Panel” in Standard or Advanced mode.
2. Select “Stereoscopic 3D” and choose “Set up stereoscopic 3D”.
3. Click on the checkbox called “Enable stereoscopic 3D” in the main panel.
4. A new window will open, where you need to click on the button labeled Next.
5. Put a tick in the checkbox celled “Enable 3D Vision Discover” and click on the Next.
6. You’ll see a message saying no compatible 3D display is found, again click on Next.
7. Now you have to put on your anaglyph glasses and pass the test you’ll be provided with.
8. A new test is being displayed to verify if you are actually seeing depth on a special image.
9. Finally you can see some 3D stereo demo images if everything is fine, but you can as well skip this step.
10. If you’ve passed the two tests everything is ok and you can start playing games in 3D Stereo using your anaglyph glasses.

Nonsense. It's not laptops that are impossible to upgrade, it's Dell and HP and Lenovo laptops that are impossible to upgrade.

If you have ATI card, you can play in 3D too.
You need drivers from http://www.iz3d.com/t-dcdriver.aspx it is working on nividia cards too. Choose "Anaglyph" option in driver center and wear red-cyan glasses Big Grin

Nope, I have downloaded a service manual from Dell, explaining in detail how to change everything on my Laptop. So you Sir, are a liar, Sir Tongue

This driver also works for any video card - it is a software wrapper.
Normally you pay for this driver (to say drive two outputs)- but the anaglyph 3d part is permanently free.
