Welcome to the recruitment thread for the UK's answer to this year's Nations Cup!
Last year we were hoofed out by default for a couple of no shows but this year we'll be back with a vengeance.

Join the [NC] Great Britain 2011 Group!

Requirements to join group:

-Be British!

The group is more of a social network for active brits this year. By becoming a member of the group you will be a legal substitute for Team GB should we be found short a player.
NO FOREIGNERS PLEASE... I'm not even joking.. Last year a bunch of Swedes (living in Sweden) who spoke next to no English kept trying to join the team... I don't think they understood the concept of the Nations Cup.
British Passport = British. No British Passport = Not British.

As for the top 6 seed players we already have a rough draft of who we're to have on the team and as such the standard is set pretty high. If you plan on snatching a spot for yourself you'll need to meet certain requirements:

Level 30s - The more the better, preferably Soldiers/Gunners on both factions. Competitive play revolves around Hero Points. More levels increases a teams effectiveness exponentially. Higher levels will generally be given precedence, so GET GRINDING!

Skilled - I start by checking your KDR.. If it's not positive, chances are you just won't be good enough. If it's average to high you'll be assessed during training sessions to determine your actual skill level.

Microphone - We will be using voice comms during training and the tournament. You need to be able to communicate with us.

Experience - Not necessary but preferable. Competitive play is more about team synergy than individual skill. We need players that can coordinate well with others.

Equipment - The rules state that Super/Uber weapons can be used if both teams agree. We don't want to limit our choice due to one player so make sure you are kitted out in both Super/Ubers OR have enough VP/BF to rent the required weapons(Super or Default) and widgets on the day.
Freeloaders will be politely shown the door.

As there is only one commando slot on the team I will be scouting for a suitable candidate. Please do NOT apply for the role. If you are good enough, you will be found. If you have a KDR of 3.0+ on your level 30 Commandos then you may drop a hint in this thread to help me narrow my search.

I might as well join the group (again) just to talk to some fellow Brits. I might have thought about actually trying to join the team too, if it wasn't for my lack of a (working) mic, and the fact that most of my royals suck bawls.

Still, I should probably be around if we're ever short on numbers. The Great British weather tends to keep me indoors a lot of the time

You national Soldier seems to know what he's doing. Apply on the forums as we could definitely use you in training at least.
Against the easier group stage matches I'll do my best to rotate players round so might be you get a go when we get selected for nats.
