[TUTORIAL] How to get a Mugshot - Updated 19 Feb, 2011

Introduction:

Welcome to my How to get a Mugshot tutorial, follow each step carefully to succesfully get your Mugshot. Remember, Patience is bitter, but it's fruit is sweet.

• Open the game, select the hero you'd like to take a mugshot of.
• Load hero.
  

• You should skip to Step 3 if you have both the clothes and emotes you'll be using.
• If not, go to the Store, pick all the clothes you want to appear in.
• Either go to YOUR emotes page, or the STORES emote page.
  

• Now, we're going to use the PLAY NOW button as your camera button.
• Run your emote first, look at how it will play out.
• Not what you want, then rotate the hero left or right.
• Hold down the left mouse button and move left or right.
• Play the emote again. Repeat till you see the shot you want to take.
• Play emote and the moment you see the pose you want, click the PLAY NOW button.
• Once the blue load box appears, select the CANCEL button.
• Leave game window running till you're satisfied with your mugshots.
  

You can rotate your hero with your cursor by clicking and dragging it.
You'll be using the Play Now button as a camera button, so only press it when ready.

• You JUST made a mugshot!
• Before you make another, you need to find it and rename it.
• It will be called mugshot.png. If you don't rename it, the next mugshot you take, will overwrite it.
• Unless you loaded the game in a specific drive/folder, here are the default locations to find your image;
• Windows XP C:\Program Files\EA Games\Battlefield Heroes\mods\bfheroes\
• Windows Vista / Windows 7 32bit: C:\Program Files\EA Games\Battlefield Heroes\mods\bfheroes\
• Windows Vista / Windows 7 64bit: C:\Program Files (x86)\EA Games\Battlefield Heroes\mods\bfheroes\
  

• Once inside the folder, scroll down till you find "mugshot.png"
• Either move that file to another folder or rename it, so it won't be overwritten.
• You're now ready to go back to the game window and repeat the process again.
  

Move it to a folder of your choice so it doesn't get re-written next time you play

• You can post that mugshot on the forums, or host the image on websites such as: Photobucket, Imageshack or Tinypic
• Please do NOT post your images in this thread.
• You're now ready to make a signature, please check out the other tutorials.
• Or, you can submit it to one of the many qualified signature artists threads.
  

Optional Step

In order to take HQ mugshots you may wanna do this:

• Open the game, and select any hero.
• Load hero.
• Go to Options.
• Then Settings.
• If not selected, pick High.
• Close the game.
• Re-open it, now your Mugshots will look slightly better.
  

If you can't run the game on High quality you'll have to re-set it to whatever quality you play on, and re-do this when you want HQ mugshots.

Poe, you can, but it will be tweaked, and it's not exactly complete.
