ATM, I have the trial 7 day version of the sniper rifle that has fast rate of fire. Is that the one most commandos prefer, or do they go for the slower firing one? I want to buy a permanent one instead of the 7 day trial versions (yes, I know we'll get wiped before release date), but I'm not sure which to get.
i've enjoyed groundbraker - faster firing rate, because of how well this stack with piercing shots, hitting all 6 shots in gunners head is quite easy, also works better in close combat situations.
Groundbreaker? At what level do you unlock that one? I don't see it yet at level 10.
I use the slow high precision rifle. 3 headshots for gunners unless they heal, I think it's a lot better. You can even become pretty efficient with no-scopes.

Totally agree with that
I use the slow high damage rifle, it's great to get rid of mobs when your team is in a firefight.
Use Pipsqueak's Popper, the high damage low rate of fire one, It does 30-35 damage to the chest and an easy 50-55 to the head. With level 1 piercing shot a headshot can do anywhere from 61-70.

Just get used to the recoil, i did and i love my elephant rifle.
Yeah i love pipsquek too ^^
nat and royals rifles are the same, just with different names (and skins).

theres the default, the fast and the slow.

The slow does more damage than the default, but have a slower firerate, and a big recoil.

The fast does slightly less damage but is much faster to fire and has slightly less recoil.

I prefer the fast one....

So far i have seen that no 1 rifle is favoured with commandos as a whole.
But i do think more people use the Default and High powered rifle than the Fast one.

All rifles have Pin Point Accuracy, So no matter if you are jumping, strafing and falling from the sky. you will hit whatever is in the dead centre of your crosshair.
Taking into account, Lag, Bullet travel time and the movement of targets of course.

I really don't think asking others will give you the answer you want.
If you are using the fast rifle now you can compare it to the default one yourself.
Just buy the High Powered rifle for a week and play for 2 hours solid and you will get all of your VP back + extra and that's without doing missions.

If your going to be using it until the next wipe you need to make sure YOU like it, Not what everyone else thinks.

Most people here love the Highpowred, I hate it, i'm MUCH more efficient with the Fast Rifle so the suggestions given here would not help me, but will they help you?

Also The rifle names for Royals And Nationals.
The Gourmet = Oscars Farshot
The Groundbreaker = The Rodderick Rifle
Stefans Sharpshooter = Pipsqueeks Popper

Thanks
Cog
i hate every sniper rifle lol. anyway bak when i was a sniping commando i did prefer the fastest 1. its just better when going against enemy commandos + every shot doesnt need to hit to get the kill unlike the high powered rifle.
fastet sniper for sure!! best in close combat.
I enjoy the Groundbreaker. I tried out each weapon for the limited time and then went with the GB for my unlimited. Its a very comfortable gun, not the best for killing, but it is good for getting attention, which is what I use it for anyway.....
Wouldn't the high powered rifle only be useful for extreme range and surprise. That's what I plan to use it for when I get it. I like to hide behind enemy lines where I will never be noticed until I deal damage, so it seams that it will get me some quick kills by headshots.
the strong/slow one
I like the slow fire high damage. As long as you can get the scope back down quickly, the rate of fire isn't even that slow.
I use the regular one, because I can do couple of shots as fast as one shot of the (strong:slow) rifle and in the end it is more damage in the same time. IMO
Here is an avarage statistics for me using regular rifle:
Commando:
-2 shots with piercing shot ability
-around 1 second for a kill (aiming, shooting)
Soldier:
-3-4 shots with piercing shot ability (4 when you miss one of the shots)
-around 3 second for a kill (aiming, shooting)
Gunner:
-1 round with piercing shot ability (taking into account couple of missed shots)
-around 5 to 6 second for a kill. (aiming, shooting, moving)

Please note that this is just from my own experience.
High dmg and Slow, Best to do one shot and then cloak to give finishing blow
its annoying how nat/roy's have different stats on their weps, names sure.. but the stat difference is beginning to annoy me.
