Is there a way to take screenshots without the UI elements?
It's hard to get a good scenery shot to fit in the small area in the center that is unobstructed.
I'm trying to work on the postcard contest, but I'm not finding any really good shots of Coastal Clash.
The best way is to use a commando (if you have one), get your sniper rifle out and put your back right up against something (building, pole, etc) then hope and pray no one types anything. You'll just have to chop the flags and your ability bar out of the picture.
There are a couple of ways to do this, each require some fore-thought.
The first way, and the one I prefer, is to align my right or left side with the shot I want. Here is a screenshot, and the final image I wanted to capture. I drew a border to illustrate my framing.

I knew I had to photoshop a little, so I aligned my XP guage in the sky for easy editing.
Another way, which is similar, but requires a little more photoshoping, is to take the picture you want, but try and get all the on screen gaming tools in places you can easily photoshop out.
Here is an example on a coastal clash image, which was used in the postcard contest advertisment.

Oh, and depending on the resolution you use, you can back into a wall, poll, tree, etc and can get yourself and your weapon to disappear. It doesn't matter what clas you are for any of these tips.

Since I tend to make my sigs flatter and more rectangular, I usually take my commando (with sniper rifle since no crosshair) and use the big meaty middle of the screenshot to take scenery from. Its all up to preference tho

Most games have a key that will let you hide the UI, though. I was hoping BFH was like that. But then again, it doesn't even have windowed mode.
Hopefully the temporary removal of the UI is something DICE will think about adding so we can get some uber nice screenies. xD

Joined a map and didnt have an UI
pressed alt tab and alt tab again and had my UI back, maybe it happened because i pressed play on a youtube video seconds before I joined a server (pressed play now, than play on youtube video)

I could reproduce the bug and now I know how to do it

Does it have to be in a browser? Or have you tried starting a video in VLC or Windows Media or DIVX player, etc?
Once started and playing you hit the play now button on (your second open browser)? and when you join a game, no UI?

Hi guys,
it works like that:
You open BFH, login with your Hero
Then press PLAY NOW, alt tab out or just click a window behind the game
when BFH goes to full screen you have ~1 second to click the BFH bar in the task bar.
If you did it right you see the normal loading screen, but when you are ingame your UI is gone, just alt tab out and alt tab in and you have it back.
If you tell me which free software can record my whole screen I can show you who I do that!
It has nothing to do with youtube or anything else, I just discovered this "bug" because I started a youtube video (music) after pressing the PLAY NOW button and clicked the BFH bar in the task bar
btw I have VISTA 64bit, maybe it doesnt work with every system

when you take out the UI in some pictures (like the ones above not the glitch one) how do you get all the sky and dround and stuff back into the picutre? casue would't there be a white blank psace behide it? please reply
It's basically using the clone tool (I assume) in Gimp it's called the Clone Tool, in Fireworks it's called the Rubber Stamp, not sure what it's called in Photoshop.

In photoshop it's CLONE STAMP ...
Select an appropriate brush, then select your opacity ... I start off between 30 and 50 percent. Too strong, and the cloning becomes really obvious. I use dithered brushes for a softer melding and solid brushes for direct cloning.

1) I start Battlefield Heroes
2) Choose the right Hero (sniper)
3) Clicking the big PLAY NOW button
4a) Nw do I have to click already on another screen and than wait till my screens gets black and than press alt _ tab
OR
4b) Do I leave Battefield Heroes on my screen without clicking anywhere else and than wait for the black screen and than click alt - tab
OR
4c) do I need to press alt+tab when he is still
searching for a server?
