All of us Vets that remember the epic exploding candy that was GS are obsessed with meta game. Myself and Blacky even got institutionalised for constantly muttering the words 'control', 'area', 'territorial' and 'long-running' among other things. Blackwyn was almost dead certain he could even see dinosaurs in bucaneer bay...

When was this?

I remember when the mode went live, I played a couple of games and when I was capping the middle flag, I did not receive any points nor did I get any by score a flag capture.

They must have added that in later builds, or I was bugging out. Heck, most servers were even bugging out when it went live...so could be a possibility.
