i donno about you guys but the only 2 things i hate in abilities are:
1:they should make a speed up ability for soldier
2:why do commando's have 6 abilities when soldiers and gunners have 5? this is unfair for the other classes.
there should make 1 more weapon ability for soldier. for example:
for pistols an ability that adds some damage like 7 damage
and for gunner an ability for rpg like making the damage and the explosion radius bigger

IMO, the Nade spam buff turned soldiers from teamplayers into Nade spammers camping on roofs. Even though its supposed to be a buff, soldiers themselves become worser due to relying on a single abilty.

The OP GS5 have made me totally lost respect and interest in playing Soldier class.
Playing soldier now is so boring that even playing a freeloader commando sniping with gourmet is more fun then playing soldier imo.
Not to mention the slow speed of walking drives me crazy...
The class that requires the least skill to be successful:
BS - panic blasting, just click it when you feel the need to (spamfriendly)
BB - just press 1 buttion and spray those bullets all over the map (spamfriendly)
GS - just throw it dammit on the ground (spamfriendly)
CM - rocket science, heal when you have low health? (spamfriendly)
6S - ...

Remove BB replace it with somekind of Speedup ability similar to gunner but slower and with different propertys.

Soldier only seems to become more and more boring to me. I stopped using GS at all now (roy soldier) since the abilty litherally ruined the class for me. Theres barely any fun dealing over 60 damage at massive range on a group.

Yeah soldier has kinda turned boring now but if you try new builds it's kinda fun
Right now I'm using a sr shotgun and a lr shotgun on my soldier and it ain't that bad, it's quite good if you could share leg it with some gunners to come in close and best of all it's fun
But I don't and will never use gs 5 I only use it at level 1 and I still think it's OP...

idk if BB is really needing a nerf, it's just a minor annoyance. if you use the claw daily, you should have more than enough fireproof underpants to last you a lifetime, and even if you don't, your teammates should be more than willing to help you out!
as for GS, yes it's overpowered. i feel like IEG and nade spam have never really be balanced with each other. imo they should just play around with both abilities in PTE and tweak it based on player response.

I feel BB would be just as fine as an ability if it either:
-Did three ticks of DoT.
- Worked only a certain amounts of hits (BB 1 - 1 direct hit then the effect wears out/ BB5 - 5 direct hits)
-Remove BB firing from the gun and make it an incendiary grenade ( A man can dream ) doing 15 damage on impact, same effects of the current BB, and a 60%-70% radius.
While I am talking about BB, remove FPP or make the widget cut down half the damage, not all of it.

I think BB must me revalued somehow (unless the fireproof pants are removed), right now, high level matches with many soldiers, are a GS / MGL fest at the same time.
Too many explosions, too many cheap kills, too much camping, etc, usually wins the team that have the best timing to bombard the enemy base or some vital spot.
In addition to a necessary GS nerf (50% max damage radius is more than enough, I will be really happy with 20/30% and insta-thrown), BB needs a tweak, not neccesary a buff, but something to make the ability less simplistic.
The current BB is another farmer-camper-friendly ability, to light up a pack of enemies and hide behind a wall, spamming GS and MGL, helping with the GS / MGL fest mentioned above.
What roflcopter said about direct hits, could be an alternative.
(Perhaps "load" X amount of burning bullets, depending on the level, dealing X extra damage, not necessary with an animation, so the skill would not have an especific duration, but as soon as all the burning bullets are shot, the ability enters in the cooldown time, to avoid pre-loading spamming).
Other delirious alternatives:
> The classic suggestion of change it to some sort of "healing bullets" (usable with all type of guns, but, as with FF, will be more useful with SMGs due to the ROF), emphasizing the support role of the soldier (the problem with this is that you need allies nearby).
Another alternative could be a mix of direct hits and healing bullets, so you can heal your allies (with any weapon, optimally with SMG), but if you hit an enemy (only with SMG) will get an extra damage from BB.

remove FPP is what they could do. Or add two new widgets ; against TT and against keg.

@jon_talbain, some nice suggestions you have there. I like this the most:

it seems many players are not happy untill soldier is once again clearly the weakest class overall?
gunner can heal it self 4 diffrent ways (ieg,ff+ 2 widgets) soldier can heal it self only 3 diffrent ways.
gunner can use widget what totally nullifies soldiers burning bullets
gunner have IEG against grenades+mini grenade launcher+ have ability actually heal it self by those explosions.
gunner have MASSIVE speed advantage cos of looooong duration of leg it, ( lots of time to run back near to soldier after soldiers blasting strike)
gunner have "tools" to basically every situation against soldier, but now when IEG is not give 100%defence against gs/other explosions in EVERY GOD XXX SITUATION it should be nerfed ?

I think GS is (another) ability that was tweaked in the incorrect way, now is a nice noob/camper-friendly ability.
The problem with the old GS was mainly the almost eternal activation time, the random and too-wide spread and the incoherent rebounds of the grenades (and perhaps the max damage radius was also too small).
But of course, instead of implementing a true thought-out solution, like an instant cast, less spread, a more predictable behavior, etc (which is always harder to do), HATE just said, hey, let's reduce the activation time, and invert the values from "20% max damage - 80% reduced damage" to "80% max damage - 20% reduced damage".
The result = only 2 soldiers synchronously spamming any level of GS, can practically kill almost everything if the enemy doesn't react on time.
About Gunners, yes, I agree that they can do pretty much everything. IEG and Keg were the "tip of the iceberg" in terms of balancing them.
We all know that what really makes Gunners a cheap 3-keys overwhelming force, are mainly FF and Leg It, along with weapons and combos such as Laser MG + FF, Kegzooka or the Dragon Fire alone, which are either too effective and/or too annoying, rewarding, game breaking, or whatever you want to call it.
But to tweak the soldier, making it cheap enough to counter all the surrounding cheapness, I don't think it's a convenient solution.

make gs blast radius little smaller (10-15% mayby )+ increase soldiers running speed a bit (15-20-%.) soldiers normal running speed should be atleast 35-40% faster compared to gunners normal running speed,at the moment soldiers and gunners normal running speed is allmost equal, only very small diffrence, but when "legit5" is activated especially in chains whole game goes to "ape sxxt".
legit/elixir is one of the biggest imbalances in the game = 2 classes have MASSIVE speed advantage over 1 class in the game where SPEED+fast reflexes are needed all the time when moving in flag to flag etc.

Well, shared LegIt is the cheap excuse to leave soldiers without a personal speed boost, forcing them to be next to gunners, so soldiers can heal gunners, and gunners can speed up soldiers, complementing each other "roles".
This is completely wrong nowadays, not only because the current roles are not what they used to be, but also because 2 gunners with LegIt lvl 5, are enough to keep the whole team permanently speeded up.
Which is something that really breaks the natural gameplay based on skill and tactics, replacing it with mere brute force, where the most buffed team wins.
And if we add that the BFH engine, handles pretty bad all the collisions (falling, jumping, climbing, crashing, swimming, etc), and the hit boxes works like sh*t many times (especially when a target is using a speed boost), we have a coctail of "features" affecting mainly soldiers, which are the ones without any speed boost of their own.
There's a lot of people asking for BB to be replaced by a dash / sprint ability (it could be a solution), and also LegIt should be changed to an individual ability buffing only the gunner who used it.
That will reduce the unskilled cheap "grouping" seeing often in high level matches, which is not teamwork at all, but just a bunch of rampant rushers firing blindly to all they cross in their way, barely having to use some real tactic or skilled moves.

Wouldn't an increase in Rof with the sr smgs be to op ? I can just imagine near every gunner being shredded in 2-3 seconds at sr since at the moment i often take down gunners at there optimum range let alone with a Rof increase.
The speed boost sounds good i guess , along as it wasn't shareable. But to be honest an ability that shoots a mango causing no damage would be better than BB.

soldier would be more equal speed wise if they could get little speed increase to they current normal running speed, no need for ability like "leg it" cos it would make this game even more "bounchy" and spammy, ANYONE can see it in the game, most if not all gunners spam like there is no tomorrow and keep "legit" and rushing there is little to non tactic needed anymore in gunners game for god sakes gunner can even heal it self more ways than soldier.
