I'd just like to add that for Buccaneer Bay you're more likely to win if the other team controls Ship.

Odd but true.

BB has an awesome glitch(?) where flags don't count towards the ticket multiplier. This means a team can control all four flags and still lose.
As the OP says the most important flag is your home flag (farm/mansion) as that's where your tanks spawn. Tanks are always needed in emergencies and you really dont want to hand them over to the enemy.

As there's no ticket multiplier it's better for the enemy to capture Ship. The spawns on ship put them in a low ground no man's land where they can be shot down on from the mountains on either side or from town. Noobs constantly try to race for town or Mansion/farm but tend to get cut down.

Ship IS a desirable flag if you're royals and control town and farm already. It provides a forward base to spawn closer to mansion. This is the only time I'd ever capture ship.

If some froob captures ship on your team and you find yourself there with the enemy at town. Then your best bet is to either camp ship and knock down players at town from long range while the noobs rush it OR if your team has a mild sense of teamwork you can try to organise a team rush to town. Find the route your noobs are rushing in and go the otherway on a flank try to cap as much of the flag as possible before killing anyone. If you kill an enemy THEN start capping the flag then he'll just respawn on you. Cap the flag to neutral while your noobs distract the enemy then rush in, finish the enemy and then go back to finish the flag.
