i love it. u r gettin called a noob a lot (i dont get y, the super cheeser is allround way better than it)
It gives u incredible amounts of damage on midrange, meaning everything from 15 to 45 feet, but outside of this range its totally useless (unlike the cheeser) but its DEFINATELY better then the drone arm. i hate that thing ._. (its like two weapons in one, but none of them as good as the normal sr/lr MG) [/align]

im happy i have it
rounds have a tendancy to run out quickly you need to run around with a bonechewer or any long range weapon med-short range is all yours and it can damage tanks ![]() the secondary fire is actually very helpful |

I've given the robot arm a shot but it's just worse than the closerange MG upclose and worse than the longrange MG at longrange. Doesn't do the job.
If you prefer superclose range combat, get any closerange MG (difference between all is minimal). If you prefer close/midrange gameplay, the Eraser Ray/ Omega Beam is an excellent choice for you, especially in combination with highrank frenzy. Shoots very fast, big frenzy heals, but you run through your ammo quickly as well (in which case you can just switch to RPG/longrange MG for a few seconds). It's also a bit more accurate (less bullet-spread) than the regular MG's, with and without frenzy. So, depends on your preference. Closerange MG, excellent for closerange, decent for midrange. Eraser/Omega, excellent for close/midrange, average/weak for everything else. You really need to find the sweetspot (5-12meter/yards or so) for this weapon to be effective. Funny thing is, many soldiers think "It's a gunner! I need to walk away", and by doing that, they often walk EXACTLY in the sweetspot-range of your eraserray/omegabeam, great stuff. I actually prefer the close/midrange combat, which is why I'm now using the eraser ray. You can also use it to ultra quickly heal yourself up by shooting enemy planes/tanks, without having to use bandages. See for yourself! |

Doesn't do the job. That is kind of the point, you get both in one gun for sacrificing some of the damage. The robot arm wastes bullets much faster in closerange mode than the normal closerange MG. Furthermore: It shares ammo for both long+closerange modes. It's not like you have 2x120 bullets in one weapon. Sure you can get superfast frenzy heals, but the same counts for the laserweap. Closerange MG still gives good frenzy heals @ higher dmg. So, this advantage is not very significant. Laslty: as said it does worse damage in both modes than 2 seperate ones. All these disadvantages do not outweigh the advantage of having 1 more weaponslot. If it would, you'd see most gunners with the robot arm now. I've given it a try for a few nights and I consider myself a decent gunner. You simply get outdamaged by closerange MG gunners, skilled shotgun-gunners and even soldiers with high lvl burning bullets, even when you have good aim. The robot arm looks very cool, the animations are cool, but the weapon just does not get the job done against decent opponents. |
