I just noticed that you're talking about soldier weapons and this is a thread asking about a weapon for gunners. The LRMG certainly the best MR gun for gunners. Note that gunners can't use any SMG's.

Also, are any of those other guns compatible with 5 FF? I highly doubt a person with the battle rifle (or w/e "superior" MR gun) would be able to beat out a gunner using the LRMG with 5 FF.

Only gun worth using instead of the LRMG as a MR weapon is the Eraser Ray.
