And as always a bunch of trolls posting. I personally like Madbernies contribute to the players and to the gaming society and it for sure have been up before but its always new players that wonder.
And Mad explain it in a very easy way for us, so pls Trolls shut up you dont need to post anything at all to just prove that you can write. |

I did a better experiment today, went 2-1 with a starting ELO difference of 74. The higher ELO went 2-1. I have to wait until tonight to see the new ELO's. ![]() |

I think there is a "noob bashing" factor involved through my testing. When the levels/elos are very far apart (haven't determined), you'll see a multiplier in the noob's favor.
Sample round 1: level 17, 1271 ELO vs level 1, 1000 ELO and the level 1 winning. Level 1 gained 26, level 17 lost 13. 13 is the base number, but the newbie has his ELO rise boosted by a factor of 2. Another round: level 16, 1314 ELO vs level 4, 1065 ELO this time the higher level won. Level 16 gains 3, level 4 lost 6. The base number in this instance would be 6; since the winner was an imbalanced level, the factor was .5 . His rise was (rightly, imo) gimped because of the level or ELO difference. So I don't think your zero-sum assumption is correct in all situations. Check your PMs for more, Bernie... if you change your opinion because of this, you may need to edit the OP. |

Yes, what Iad.Uroboros said. This is a great discovery!! If your levels are far apart, the ELO is not a 1-1 thing, it is NOT a zero sum game.
This is not a standard ELO. So we need help determining which is the cut-off level. I'm guessing that if you are 10 levels different, then the score will double. We have verified that a level 16 vs level 4, 26 vs 10 and 17 vs 1 will double for the lower level player, or be cut in half for an upper level player. More testing is needed. One thing, this experiment is showing that this topic has not been addressed fully. So it was good that it was brought up. ![]() |

Day 4
Player A starting ELO 1299. Player B starting ELO 1292. Match went A beating B 3-1. Player A ending ELO 1321. (+22) Player B ending ELO 1270. (-22) The more I see, the more I'm starting to agree that each fight is individually scored. That it is treating every kill as a fight, not using the entire match worth. Interesting. That is definitely not how UT was scored and may explain the difference in how high people can get here compared to there. ![]() |

It would be good if you could find 2 players of same level and same ELO to do 1 fight, to see what is the ELO gain/loss in that case for start.

We had discovered something before, that sometimes the ELO gain or loss is double for a higher/lower level player. I initially thought that it was a level difference that caused this discrepancy. Now, I don't. I need help to figure it out for sure though.
What I think is the case is, if your level is above 15, your ELO gain or loss is cut in half. The problem is, I do not have any heroes in that level range. I need a level 15 and a level 16 to have a fight where one beats the other 1-0. I need the ELO's recorded before and after. If you can help me out, please let me know. ![]() |
