Not really, infact they are the worst, a sniper is a gunner's worst enemy, since gunners are slow they're easy targets for snipers, long range soldiers and mandos are best at taking out snipers, the long range soldiers can just bb the sniper then duck to take cover, keep repeating this until the sniper dies, unless they are using tonics, this will work fine, pp is also a great choice at taking out snipers.
And its even easier with a commando, just wait until they start sniping another person, then snipe them, or you could just sneak up behind them in stealth and knife away, most likely they''ll be scoped and by the time they spot you you'll hit them with the finishing blow.
Gunner's are mean to be a close range class, no matter what set up, they can NEVER be a long range class, you can give them pp, but that only balances them, it doesn't make them a long range gunner sub-class, since only one bullet with a slow reload will get in the way of taking out units from far, it only helps take them out, you will never get a 1hit kill with the pp, so you'll need to get 2-3 direct hits in order to kill, which takes time, and lr shotguns are pretty much mid-range.

And the long range MG, don't let me started, long range battles are a gunner's worst nightmare, its pretty much impossible to win without hacking, using tonics are camping with DF, or having a dual long range set up, which would make you suck, even at long range.
Also kegs can only be thrown mid-range.

Im the gunner who wanders alone on other side of map. XD lmfao, besides that evrything else is common sense to me. Really nice tactics tho id love to play against you one day.

Gunners are good mando hunters if you know what to do, Every mando ive come across 81% of the time i win. i usually only die if im busy trying to RED RUM a person and of course mandos far behind capping me in the head.
