Strange, seems then like the program doesn't even have the right to write the file. Can you try starting it at "C:\" and recording a muggif?

If you have lag the best way to capture it would be at the lowest framerate. Java isn't the best/fastest way to makes video's but it works fine on a avarage PC's these day's.

Also If you have trouble with the RAM usage you should try to lower the amount of frames.

What I mean is if other people all have it in their sigs, not myself, but evryone else. Isn't it sort of big to load if evryone on the page has 2 of those in his sig?

Edit: When placing it in C:\, it says: "File saved as C:\\muggif.gif" or something like that.. At least the direction is right :o

Uploaded a new version(0.4.1) with some error reporting around the part which saves the muggif, can you try that version please for me?

It says, in Dutch, "muggif.gif Toegang geweigerd"

It means something like:
"muggif.gif Forbidden access" (could be a bit different, don't have the English pack on my pc)

Rename the .jar into muggif.jar, download muggif.bat and put it in the sam directory. Then start muggif.bat with Right click > "Run as Administrator".
Please update me about the results.

hm when i try to make one it says "saving to file" and never stops..

I click on save and it saves as a zipped file, i then unzip it and there is this folder!
How do you Run it? please help.

I have windows 7 incase you need to know.

Very nice work. If possible to implement, an "always on top" setting would make the button clicking a little easier.

Saving it to the file can take pretty long, but if it really don't stops you can close the program. You can do this by terminate the program java.exe or javaw.exe with the taskmanager(CTRL+SHIFT+ESC or ALT+CTRL+DEL). Wich version do you use, since I hoped to catch every file writing error with 0.4.2.

A: The .jar file is actually file you need to run. To be able to run It you must have the Java Runtime Environment installed. Also don't open it with an archive program (like winzip/winrar/7zip) since that won't get you start the program.

You need to have to have the Java Runtime Enviroment installed. The you should be able to run it. If you have the Java Runtime Enviroment already installed try renaming the .jar into "muggif.jar", download the muggif.bat into the same directory and then start the muggif.bat.

A doubleclick on the file should do the job, but if that don't start Muggif then try the same thing as I responded to the other person in this post.
