***Chapter One: Landing***

Hello, my name is Conrad James. I took part in a major mission. I was a Private.

The story starts on July 15... 1944. The time was 0000 (12 o'clock a.m.)... we had just dropped down into Western Germany. It was crawling with Nationals. I can't believe I actually survived...

*flashback begins*

(Voice narrating) The story starts on July 15... 1944. The time was 0000 (12 o'clock a.m.)... we had just dropped down into Western Germany. It was crawling with Nationals. I can't believe I actually survived...(Voice fades off)

"Hey Sarge," said Cpl. Johnson. "when the hell are we going to get to the drop zone?"

"When you stop whinin' like a baby, Johnson. That's when!" Replied Sergeant Brimstone. Johnson shrugged. He looked at me, and I shrugged at him. Sergeant Brimstone was one strict man. No one really liked him, mostly because he's always taunting you and shoving you around. But hey, what could we do about it? He was the highest rank in the mission we were in.

Speaker: Prepare to drop in 5 minutes. Repeat, prepare to drop in 5 minutes. Everyone started looking at each other, and a split second later, we all got up to put on our Parachutes. Private Edison threw up right after that. You could see the fear in his eyes. Specialist Jordans patted him on the back. Trying to make him comfortable.

"Don't worry, Eddy. You'll be fine. I promise." He said.

"Hey, Jordans! No promises on when we're going into Battle." Brimstone told him. That was Sarge's first rule. No promises on the Battlefield. It was also his most strict rule.

"Sorry Sarge..." Replied Jordans.

Speaker: Prepare to drop in 30 seconds. Repeat, prepare to drop in 30 seconds. Everyone started to line up, 5 rows of 4 people. I was in the second row. Next to me was my brother, Corporal James. We looked at each other, then gave each other a big grin.

"You ready for this?" My brother asked.

I took a deep breath, then said: "Hell yeah. Let's show these Nationals what we're capable of." And after that, the back of the Plane opened up, and we jumped out, one row at a time. It took 25 minutes to touch the ground. By then, there were no Nationals in sight, but we still had to be sneaky.

We reformed our squad right after we landed. We waited an hour, just to make sure no one was left behind. By the time we finished triple checking if anyone was missing, we moved into Stuttgart, the most occupied National city. It took about 3 hours. We stopped for multiple reasons. We stopped for National Convoys passing by and for National night watchers.

By the time we arrived, Jordans widened his eyes, and said: "Damn. Now that's what you call an occupied city. Look at all those MG Nests...! And look at that! A heavily armored tank! Damn, we're looking for trouble."

"Shut up!" Sarge ordered in a quiet voice. "We're supposed to be stealthy, not let the Nationals know we're here! Now get down!" He stops talking and looks at each person in the eye, making sure they're paying attention to him. Then, he continues: "Snipers, go over to those bushes, and take out those MG nests! Gunners, move over to that broken barn. After the Snipers take out the MG nests, you blow up the tank, one shot at a time! Wait until someone's rocket has either hit or missed the tank. If hit, don't fire again unless you see that it is still operational!"

"Yes sir!" said the two squads. They quickly moved to their positions. My brother was a Gunner. Eddy was a Sniper. I washed the Snipers first. I could barely see their faces. All I really remember is looking at Eddy. Sergeant gave the "ready" signal.

"Ready..." Sarge said, still in a quiet voice. "...Fire!"

*Shots are fired, and you can here the yelling from the Nationals*

National Soldier: Feindliche Schüsse! (Enemy shots! *translated with google translate*)
